Mezuniyet için Yüksek Lisans not ortalamasının dörtlük sistemde en az 3.00 olması durumunda tez aşamasına geçebilir. Mezuniyet için tez çalışması yapmak ve toplamda 120 AKTS’yi tamamlamak gerekir. | |

Programın amacı öğrencilere Sosyal Bilgiler eğitimiyle ilgili lisansüstü düzeyde bilgi, beceri ve tutumlar kazandırarak öğrencilerin Sosyal Bilgiler eğitimi alanında uzman olmalarını sağlamaktır.
- Sosyal Bilgiler eğitimi sayesinde sosyal-siyasal, ekonomik ve kültürel gelişmeleri açıklayabilme.
- Sosyal Bilgiler eğitimi alanındaki bilgileri farklı disiplin alanlarındaki bilgilerle bütünleştirip yeni bilgiler oluşturabilme; uzmanlık gerektiren sorunlara bilimsel araştırma yöntemlerini kullanarak çözüm önerileri getirebilme.
- Sosyal Bilgiler eğitimi alanındaki uygulamalarda karşılaşacağı öngörülmeyen karmaşık durumlarda, yeni stratejik yaklaşımlar geliştirebilme ve sorumluluk alarak çözüm üretebilme.
- Sosyal Bilgiler alanıyla ilgili bilgileri eleştirel bir gözle değerlendirebilme.
- Sosyal ilişkileri ve bu ilişkileri yönlendiren normları eleştirel bir bakış açısıyla inceleme, bunları geliştirme ve gerektiğinde değiştirmek üzere harekete geçebilme.
- Vatandaşlık, Tarih, coğrafya, Sosyoloji ve Siyaset başta olmak üzere sosyal bilim alanlarının problemlerini Sosyal Bilgiler Eğitimi alanı ile ilişkilendirebilme.
Bu program mezunları, eğer varsa diğer şartları yerine getirmek koşuluyla, sosyal bilgiler öğretmeni, okul idarecisi, eğitim müfettişi ve akademisyen olmak üzere eğitim sektöründe çalışabilirler.

A combined score from these numbers is created for each candidate and the highest ranking candidates will be selected. 1) ALES (%50): Verbal 55+ 2) Bachelor's Degree GPA (%20): Minumum GPA of 2.50/4.00 is required. 3) Foreign Language (%10): Minumum 40/100 is required from the following exams and equivalent; ÜDS, KPDS, YDS, YÖKDİL or University Profeciency Exam. 4) Field exam (%20) Only graduates from the following departments can apply: Social Studies Education, Primary and Secondary Education, History Education. | |

- To be able to explain social, political, economic and cultural developments through social studies education.
- To integrate knowledge in social studies education with knowledge in different disciplines and to create new knowledge; to bring solution proposals by using scientific research methods to the problems requiring expertise.
- To be able to develop new strategic approaches and to take responsibility and produce solutions in complex situations that are not anticipated to be encountered in social studies education applications.
- To be able to critically evaluate the information related to the field of Social Studies.
- To critically examine the social relations and the norms that guide them, to act on them to develop and change them when necessary.
