Using the knowledge and skills acquired in the field, to be able to identify, to gather information, to analyze and synthesize and to solve problems related to bureau, workshop, construction site and archeological operationsTo acquire the skill of creating the design and project related to the field by using drafting, computer supported drawing and different softwares To have the knowledge of the functions, materials, procedures, construction systems and technologies of conventional buildings’ types and element, and to be able to do their restorationTo have the knowledge of design and ornamentation techniques, materials, building techniques in conventional buildings and to be able to do their restorationTo have the knowledge of materials and their applications, the reasons of deterioration, preservation techniques in traditional buildings, and of how the chemical materials are used and their features in the restoration processesTo have the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge of regulations, technical specifications, the length, survey and paymentTo have the knowledge of basic principals and techniques in restoration and preservation, to know the national and international preservation theories and to be able to apply them considering ethical issuesTo know about civilization, art and history of architecture, and to use this information appropriatelyTo have the necessary computer skills related to the field so as to use the softwares required for the occupationto have the necessary content and foreign language knowledge, to improve yourself continuously

In addition to midterm examinations and other work, students are required to take a final examination. At least one midterm examination is given during each semester. Dates of midterm examinations are announced by the Departments concerned in the first month of the semester. Changes in the dates of midterms are possible through the approval of the Chairman of the Department. Final examinations are held at the appropriate place and hour as decided and announced by the University. The student is given a grade by the course instructor by taking into account the midterm examinations, final examinations, the semesters work and attendance.Theoretical examinations in accordance with course content, multiple choice, fill in the blanks, true false worded, to be carried out comparative and open-ended. Applied courses are evaluated by practice examsIn order to graduate, students have; a) To complete totally 120 ECTS , b) To complete 30 days (1 month) compulsory trainings successfully, c) To complete successfully all program courses, d) To have at least 2,00 general grade point average over 4,00.

This program is taken from students with TYT score type within the framework of the conditions determined according to the results of Higher Education Law , Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) conducted by Higher Education Council and Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).

Graduates of this program are assigned as a technical staff between architects and restorer experts. They can work as technicians in the relevant directorates of the Ministry of Culture, General and Regional Directorates of Foundations, relevant directorates and units of Municipalities, Special Provincial Administrations of the Municipalities, workshops, laboratories, construction sites and offices of institutions and private companies, archaeological excavations in museums and historical environmental protection projects.
