Further Info | Student success is evaluated by taking into account Article 25, Article 26, Article 27, Article 28, Article 29 and Article 30 of the Associate and Undergraduate Education Regulations of Adana University of Science and Technology. Evaluation of exams and success grades. ARTICLE 25 – (1) Mid-term exam, final exam, excuse exam, single course exam and make-up exam results are calculated over 100 points and evaluated according to the grade conversion table. The grade of achievement is evaluated according to MDS or BDS by evaluating the success level of the student during the semester studies, and the grades taken from the midterm and final or make-up exams of the related course. In this evaluation, the effect of the in-year and year-end activities on the overall achievement grade is determined by the instructor and announced within the first fifteen days of each semester. Students who do not enter the final exam without an excuse are given FF grade. For each course taken by the instructor, one of the following letter grades is given as a final grade. (3) The grade S and U is not taken into account in the GPA. (4) The NA grade is treated as an FF grade in the GPA. (5) The student is given 0 (zero) grade for the midterm exam and FF grade for the year-end and make-up exam. (6) Student who draw a copy, who attempted to copy, who cheated, and who was understood as a result of the examination of the examination document by the instructor concerned, is given 0 (zero) for that exam and a disciplinary investigation is opened. The Average Grade ARTICLE 26 – (1) Success levels of the students are followed by the LPA for the courses that they have taken during the semester; and the GPA for all courses they have taken during the program they are enrolled. (2) These averages are calculated by multiplying the ECTS credits of the courses with the success grade coefficients of the courses and divided by the total of the ECTS credits. Exempt courses are not included in the average. In order for a student to graduate, the program must be successful in all the studies in the curriculum. If the third digit after the comma is smaller than 5, it will be reduced to 0; If it is greater than 5 or 5, the second digit is rounded to 1 and the two digits are taken as basis. In the GPA, the most recently received notes from the repeated courses are included.Successful and unsuccessful students ARTICLE 27 – (1) At the end of the relevant semester or at the end of the year, students with a GPA of at least 2.00 are considered successful. (2) Successful students who dont have FF from the semester / year and unsuccessful course from semesters / years, who did not disciplinary punishment, those between 3,00-3,49 GPA are considered as honor student; those between 3.50-4.00 are considered as high honor students. The list of these students is announced at the end of each semester / year and a certificate is given to them. This success is indicated on the students note. (3) The student who is unsuccessful, repeats the courses which are taken by himself/herself and the courses under the FD and below.Repetition of a failed semester or a final exam. ARTICLE 28 - (1) In case of failing a course, students who are not able to take the course in the normal semester must take this course in the first semester of the course. If these courses are elective or subtracted from the program, the students may take the courses approved by the unit management board upon the decision of the department board they are registered with a proposal of the academic advisor. Increasing the GPAARTICLE 29 – (1) Students who wish to increase their GPA can repeat the courses they have taken and succeeded in the semester they were given. However, in this case, students are required to register for the course. The continuation of the successful course is not required. For the applied courses, the attendance of the students is done by the instructor of the course. In the GPA account, the last grade received in the repeated course is valid. In these courses, which are taken to raise the grade, the students are treated as if they are repeating the lesson.Announcement of exam results and objection to exam results ARTICLE 30 – (1) The results of the semester / final exam, make-up exam and one-course exam are announced on the student information system no later than one week after the end of the exams. (2) Exam results cannot be changed except for the determination of the material error. Students or instructors may apply in writing to the related departments within five working days after the announcement of the results of the exam. If a material error is detected as a result of the examination of the examination document by the related lecturer, this error is corrected in accordance with the decision taken by the related board of directors and the result is announced in the student information system. Student success is evaluated by taking into account Article 25, Article 26, Article 27, Article 28, Article 29 and Article 30 of the Associate and Undergraduate Education Regulations of Adana University of Science and Technology.
Evaluation of exams and success grades.
ARTICLE 25 –
(1) Mid-term exam, final exam, excuse exam, single course exam and make-up exam results are calculated over 100 points and evaluated according to the grade conversion table. Students or instructors may apply in writing to the related departments within five working days after the announcement of the results of the exam. If a material error is detected as a result of the examination of the examination document by the related lecturer, this error is corrected in accordance with the decision taken by the related board of directors and the result is announced in the student information system. If it is understood that there are no material errors, the situation is processed in the petition of the person concerned and notified to him / her.Student success is evaluated by taking into account Article 33 and Article 34 of the Associate and Undergraduate Education Regulations of Adana University of Science and Technology.
GraduationARTICLE 33 -
(1) (Change:RG-1/4/2018-30378) In order to graduate with a B.S. degree or associate degree, students have to succeed in all their compulsory and elective courses shown in the program to complete at least 240 ECTS credits for B.S. degree and 120 ECTS for associate degree, and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0. GPA is also the graduation grade point average.
(2) The student is given a graduation memo certificate and diploma supplement showing all the courses, credits, grades and grades received during his / her education.
(3) Students who meet early graduation requirements, can graduate in less than the specified working time.
(4) Students may be given a temporary graduation certificate until the diplomas are prepared. The date of graduation is the expiry date of the final exam period.Diplomas
ARTICLE 34 –
(1) Upon successful completion of the program, students are awarded with their diplomas at the end of the exam period following the completion of the program.
According to Undergraduate Placement Exam (LYS) administred by Measurement Selection and Placement Center (OSYM), throughout Turkey and North Cyprus T.R. candidates that have sufficient; MF-4 score can register to the department. Department can also receive limited amount of candidates from Dikey Geçiş Sınavı (DGS), made by the same center or undergraduate transfer. Foreign students can also be accepted to our department, whose admissions are made according to The Directive of Foreign Student Acceptance and Enrollment to Undergraduate Programs in Adana Science and Technology University.
