Öğrenme Kazanımları (Tanım)	Lisans ve lisansüstü düzeyinde elde edilen birikimini, yapı bilimleri kapsamındaki eğitim, uygulama ve araştırma-geliştirme-inovasyon alanlarında kullanabilme ve bu alanlardaki gelişmelere katkıda bulunabilmek. Yapı malzemeleri, yapı fiziği, yapı üretimi, yapım yönetimi, yapı koruma süreçleri ve yapı sektörünün çevre ve doğayla ilişkisi ile ilgili teknik konuları ve sorunları tanımlama, yerinde inceleme, analiz etme ve çözüm önerileri geliştirebilmek. Yapı (yapı fiziği, yapı malzemeleri, yapım, yapı sistemleri) ile ilgili mesleki (teorik, teknik ve uygulama) konularda yerel ve küresel bilgiye sahip olma ve bu birikimini arttırabilmek. Yapı ile ilgili farklı disiplin alanlarından gelen bilgileri yorumlayabilme, analiz etme ve yeni bilgiler oluşturabilmek. Bir sorunu etik sınırlar içerisinde ve bilimsel bir yaklaşımla inceleyebilme, değerlendirebilme ve çözüm önerileri geliştirebilmek. Bir araştırma konusunu veya çalışmasını etik sınırlar içerisinde, bilimsel yöntemlerden yararlanarak ve disiplinlerarası bir yaklaşımla/bakış açısıyla kurgulayabilme, araştırma önerisi olarak geliştirebilme, değerlendirebilme ve yürütebilmek. Araştırma konusu ile ilgili gelişmeleri ve sonuçları ulusal ve uluslararası bilimsel ortamlarda yayınlayabilmek. Yapı Bilimleri ile ilgili yeni ve güncel teknolojileri/gelişmeleri izleyebilme ve kavrayabilmek. Yapı Bilimleri alanındaki güncel konuları ve kendi çalışmalarını, alanındaki ve alan dışındaki gruplara, yazılı, sözlü ve görsel olarak ve sistemli biçimde aktarabilme, kendisini iyi ifade edebilmek. Yapı sektörü ile ilgili çalışılabilecek mesleklerdeki etik sorumluluk bilincine sahip olabilmek. Yapı üretimi, kullanımı ve koruma süreçlerinde bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerini ileri düzeyde kullanabilme, edinilen bilgiyi bu teknolojilerden faydalanarak kullanabilme, yönetebilme ve paylaşabilmek.

Başarma Şartları	Lisansüstü programlar için mezuniyet koşulları 21.09.2016 tarihinde Resmi Gazete'de yayımlanarak yürürlüğe girmiş olan Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi Lisansüstü Eğitim-Öğretim Yönetmeliği Madde 28’de belirtilmiştir. MADDE 28 – (1) Lisansüstü programlardan mezun olunabilmesi için; a) Bu Yönetmeliğin ilgili hükümlerinde yer alan başarı koşullarının sağlanması, b) Yurt dışındaki anlaşmalı yükseköğretim kurumları ile yürütülen uluslararası ortak lisansüstü programlar hariç olmak üzere kayıtlı olunan son yarıyılın Üniversitede geçirilmesi gerekir. (2) Lisansüstü programlarda mezuniyet tarihi; a) Tezli yüksek lisans programlarında, mezuniyet tarihi tezin sınav jüri komisyonu tarafından imzalı nüshasının ilgili enstitüye teslim edildiği, b) Tezsiz yüksek lisans programlarında, akademik takvimde ilgili yarıyıl veya yaz okulu için belirtilen harf notlarının ilan tarihidir. Harf notları ilan edildikten, maddi hata düzeltmesi yapıldıktan ve/veya I notu tamamlandıktan sonra mezun olanlar için mezuniyet tarihi son harf notunun kesinleştiği, c) Doktora programlarında, mezuniyet tarihi tezin sınav jüri komisyonu tarafından imzalı nüshasının ilgili enstitüye teslim edildiği tarihtir.

To be able to define the technical topics and problems, analyze and bring proposals of solution regarding building materials, building physics, construction, construction management, conservation processes and the relationships of the environment and the nature. To be able to gather and accumulate local and global professional knowledge (theoretical, technical and practical) on building related (building physics, materials, construction, construction details) topics. To be able to interpret and analyze the information coming from different disciplines regarding buildings, and create new knowledge from them. To be able to analyze, evaluate and provide solutions to a problem within an ethical framework and with scientific approach. To be able to propose a research topic or study within an ethical framework, using scientific methods, and with a inter-disciplinary approach/point of view, and develop, evaluate, and run as a research proposal. To be able to publish the developments and results regarding a research topic in national and international scientific media. To be able to follow and grasp the new and contemporary technologies/advances in the field of building science. To be able to follow and interpret the new and current technologies/developments regarding the field of building science. To be able to have the consciousness of ethical liability in building related professions. To be able to use the information and communication technologies in an advanced way in the processes of building construction, facilities management, and conservation processes; to be able to use, manage and share the attained knowledge by using these technologies.

Conditions for Success	Requirements and regulations for counting courses are specified in Middle East Technical University Rules and Regulations Governing Graduate Studies, article 28 that was published in Official Paper on 21.09.2016. ARTICLE 28 – (1) The following requirements must be fulfilled in order to be eligible for graduation from a graduate program: a) The success requirements indicated in the concerned provisions of this Regulation should have been fulfilled. b) The final registered semester must be spent at METU, with the exception of international joint graduate degree programs conducted in collaboration with contracted universities abroad. (2) The date of graduation from graduate programs is determined as follows: a) In Master’s programs with a thesis, the graduation date is the date on which a signed copy of the the thesis is submitted to the concerned graduate school by examining committee. b) In non-thesis Master’s programs, the graduation date is the announcement date of the letter grades for the concerned semester or Summer School as indicated in the academic calendar. For those who graduate as a result of the correction of an erroneous grade and/or the conversion of the grade “I” to a letter grade, the graduation date is the date on which the letter grade is finalized. c) In doctoral programs, the graduation date is the date on which a signed copy of the the thesis is submitted to the concerned graduate school by examining committee.
