It is a higher education program that covers an eight-semester program based on secondary education qualifications and provides training for the international trade and logistics learning field and international trade and logistics profession.

Program Objectives:

• They can work in the fields of International Trade and Logistics.

• They can develop their innovative thinking, creativity and entrepreneurial skills and apply these skills in business life.

• They can use at least one foreign language effectively and take part in international processes.

• They can use their scientific knowledge and reasoning skills, make independent and ethical decisions in business life, and actively participate in management processes.

• They can work successfully in various sectors as individuals who can communicate effectively, have developed social skills and are prone to teamwork.

• They can follow economic, social and environmental developments and problems related to their field with a lifelong learning awareness and offer solutions.

• They can direct their careers with projects related to Hitit University's Machinery and Manufacturing Technologies specialization area.

Education and training are carried out in the form of formal education.

1. To provide conceptual and theoretical knowledge in the field of international trade and logistics.
2. To provide the skills to research, collect data, implement, think analytically and develop solutions in the field of international trade and logistics.
3. To provide the ability to transfer, report, evaluate and apply the knowledge and skills acquired in the field of international trade and logistics in written and verbal form in business life.
4. To provide the ability to interpret and analyze by establishing interdisciplinary relationships between the field of international trade and logistics and other social sciences.
5. To provide the ability to use quantitative and qualitative methods in decision making and problem solving.
6. To provide the ability to take responsibility in national and international businesses, to be prone to individual and teamwork, and to have leadership qualities.
7. To gain the ability to master the supply chain and production processes and to evaluate problems from this perspective and develop solution suggestions.
8. To provide the ability to use knowledge on issues such as foreign trade legislation, customs clearance, stock management and storage effectively in business life.
9. To have occupational health and safety, social responsibility, quality and environmental awareness in logistics.
10. To provide the ability to apply theoretical methods related to decision making, planning and design within the scope of logistics activities.
11. To provide the ability to develop social responsibility projects regarding the solution of problems in the field with industrial organizations.
12. To gain the ability to communicate and interact in international markets by using at least one foreign language to the extent required by the profession.

14. To provide the ability to follow developments in international trade and logistics and interpret from a critical and innovative perspective based on the philosophy of lifelong learning.

While evaluating students in line with the student-centered education approach, alternative measurement and evaluation tools and methods are used, which show their development during the course process and their achievement of outcomes at the end of the course. In the measurement and evaluation processes, a competency-based approach is adopted along with the student-centered approach. Measurement and evaluation processes are carried out by the Hitit University Associate and Undergraduate Education-Teaching and Examination Regulation, Hitit University Distance Education Procedures and Principles Regarding the Conduct of Courses and Conduct of Exams regulation/directive.

The student's success status in a course is determined by the course success grade. The calculation principles of the success grade according to the absolute and/or relative evaluation system and the grading system principles of the exams applied in the University are regulated by the Senate.

Letter grades with the expansions and coefficients specified below are used in the calculation of success grades. The following table is used for the procedures regarding letter grades and coefficients:

Letter grades not shown on the chart are as follows:

1) B: Passing for non-credit courses,

6) S: Ongoing, given at the end of the first semester (continued for two semesters) for Graduation Project/Thesis/Seminar/Project.

Starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, under the decision of the University Senate dated 25.09.2024 and numbered 2024/132, measurement and evaluation in line with student-centered education and training are diversified and carried out throughout the term in our faculty.

Quality assurance processes are carried out in accordance with the MYK Quality Assurance Certificate and its annexed Guidelines.

Creation and Approval of National Qualifications: National qualifications developed by institutions and organizations representing their sectors and professions, as well as MYK working groups, are presented to all relevant parties for review for at least 15 days, verified by MYK Sector Committees, and approved by the MYK Executive Board.

National qualifications are reviewed at least every five years, based on national occupational standards.

Measurement and Evaluation: Certification institutions accredited by TÜRKAK according to the ISO/EN 17024 Standard and authorized by the MYK are conducted in accordance with MYK regulations and the conditions and methods defined in national qualifications. Measurement and evaluation activities are carried out in accordance with pre-determined and announced examination programs. The examination programs include information on qualification forms, assessors, measurement and evaluation criteria, and methods. All measurement and evaluation procedures are video-recorded and stored. Records are retained under the conditions and periods defined in MYK regulations. Measurement and evaluation activities are subject to internal and external verification processes. Evidence of verification activities is shared with the relevant institution, file officers, and audit team via the MYK Web Portal.

Certification: Authorized Certification Bodies issue the MYK Vocational Qualification Certificate to individuals deemed successful. MYK handles the design and printing of the MYK Vocational Qualification Certificate. Security measures such as QR codes and holograms are implemented for the MYK Vocational Qualification Certificate, and the authenticity of the documents can be verified through the MYK Web Portal.

Self-Assessment: Authorized Certification Bodies conduct annual self-assessments in accordance with MYK regulations and the TS EN ISO / IEC 17024 Accreditation Standard. The results of these activities, along with all corrective and preventive action records and supporting documentation, are retained and submitted to MYK in a self-assessment report.

External Assessment: The external assessment of Authorized Certification Bodies is conducted by TÜRKAK in accordance with the (TS EN) ISO/IEC 17024 Standard, and by MYK in accordance with MYK regulations through scheduled and unscheduled audits. External assessment reports are submitted to the Authorized Certification Bodies and the MYK Executive Board.

Regular Review: The external assessment activities and results of the MYK Audit Department are regularly reviewed by the MYK Executive Board. TÜRKAK's external assessment activities and results are also subject to regular review by the European Cooperation for Accreditation.

Information Management Systems: Authorization, assessment-evaluation, certification, self-assessment, and external assessment processes are conducted through the MYK Portal.

Feedback Mechanisms: Stakeholder participation is ensured at the highest level in all qualification-related processes, and opinions, suggestions, objections, and complaints are evaluated in accordance with legislation.

Social, Human, and Basic Sciences Accreditation and Rating Association (STAR)

Accreditation Start/End Date: April 2, 2025 - April 2, 2028

The registration, admission, examination and evaluation procedures of students are carried out in accordance with the Higher Education Law and the decisions and regulations of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) issued based on this law. Registration and admission procedures at Hitit University are carried out by the Student Affairs Department, and information on the regulations and guidelines can be accessed at http://oidb.hitit.edu.tr/.

A two-stage examination system is applied in the transition from high school to higher education. The exams are conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Detailed information about the exams can be found at http:www.osym.gov.tr. The first stage of the exam system is a common and single exam called the Transition to Higher Education Exam (YGS). The Transition to Higher Education Exam is an exam that measures the qualifications for transition to higher education, which is taken by those who have completed high school education and want to receive higher education. In the acceptance of students other than the student groups that come with central placement, the regulations, directives and senate decisions regarding international (foreign national), lateral transfer about student acceptance are applied. Graduates who complete their undergraduate education can apply to second and third level (master's and doctoral) programs in national and international higher education institutions, provided that they meet the requirements of the higher education institution and program. Graduates can work as expert personnel and managers in all units related to international trade and logistics in public and private sector organizations. They can work in national or international logistics companies, in the production, logistics, marketing and distribution departments of companies, in import-export units, in maritime companies or in companies that provide insurance, customs clearance and storage services. Graduates of the department can be employed as public servants in public institutions and can work in middle and senior management positions. If they are successful in the entrance exams, they can be appointed to positions such as inspectors, controllers, auditors and experts. In this context, they can be employed in organizations such as the Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade, the Undersecretariat of Customs, Trade Counselor's Offices, Eximbank, exchange units of banks, exporter unions, free zones, foreign trade capital companies, port managements and research centers.
