Eğitim-öğretim birbirini izleyen üç ana dönemden oluşur. Klinikle Entegre Temel Dönem: İlk üç Sınıfta eğitim-öğretim asıl olarak, sistem temelli, mesleki ve klinik beceri derslerini de içeren kuramsal ve/veya uygulamalı, yatay ve dikey entegre konu başlıklarına göre oluşturulmuş ders kurullarından meydana gelir ve sınavlarda ders kurulu geçme kredi sistemi uygulanır. Her bir ders Kurulu ve ders Kurulu dışındaki ders için her yarıyılda en az bir ara sınav ve final sınavı yapılır. Klinik Tıp Bilimleri Dönemi: Klinik, poliklinik, ameliyathane gibi uygulamalı alanları ve laboratuvar çalışmalarını içeren stajların bulunduğu dördüncü ve beşinci sınıfları kapsar. Her stajın sonunda kuramsal ve uygulamalı olarak yapılan sınava staj sınavı adı verilir. Sınavın her bölümü yazılı ve/veya sözlü olabilir. Öğrencinin beşinci sınıfa devam edebilmesi için dördüncü sınıfta alması gereken bütün stajların ve varsa Klinikle Entegre Temel Dönemden kalan bir ders kurulunun sınavlarından başarılı olması koşuldur. Klinik Tıp Bilimleri Döneminde stajlara devam ettiği halde sınavlarda başarısız olan öğrenciler başarısız olduğu stajı yeniden programına almak ve sınavlarına girmekle yükümlüdür. İntörnlük Dönemi: Öğrencilerin kesintisiz on iki aylık süre boyunca hekimlik mesleğini uygulamalarına olanak veren altıncı sınıftır. Öğrencinin bu döneme başlayabilme koşulu, bu aşamaya kadar sorumlu olduğu zorunlu ve Seçmeli Dersler ile beşinci sınıfta alınması gereken stajların tamamının sınavlarından başarılı olmuş olmasıdır. Misyon:
- Yeterli mesleki bilgi birikimine sahip, hekimlik uygulamalarında yetkin, koruyucu hekimliği önceleyen, iyi iletişim kurabilen, etik kurallara saygılı, sağlık savunucusu hekimler yetiştirmek,

Vizyon:

| Further Info | In the assessment and evaluation of students; methods such as multiple choice exam, written exam, classical oral exam, structured oral exam, practical exam, preparedness assessment, interactive participation in class/clinical practices, logbook, evaluation guide/leaf are applied. Education and training consist of three consecutive main periods. Clinically Integrated Basic Period: In the first three years, education and training mainly consist of course boards formed according to theoretical and/or practical, horizontal and vertical integrated subject headings including system-based, professional and clinical skills courses and the course board passing credit system is applied in the exams. At least one midterm and final exam is given in each semester for each course board and for the course outside the course board. Clinical Medical Sciences Period: It covers the fourth and fifth years including training where there are practical areas such as clinic, polyclinic, operating room and laboratory studies. The theoretical and practical exams held at the end of each training period are called training exams. Each part of the exam can be written and/or oral. In order for students to continue to the fifth grade, they must pass the exams of all trainings they must take in the fourth grade and, if any, a course board left from the Clinical Integrated Basic Period. Students who continue their trainings in the Clinical Medical Sciences Period but fail the exams are required to reschedule the training they failed and take the exams. Internship Period: This is the sixth grade that allows students to practice the medical profession for a continuous period of twelve months. The condition for students to start this period is to have passed the exams of all compulsory and elective courses they have been responsible for up to this stage and all trainings that must be taken in the fifth grade. During the internship period, students' success is evaluated by the education supervisor of the relevant course, taking into account clinical, polyclinic, laboratory and field studies; shifts held; prepared patient files; relationships with patients, patient owners, physicians and colleagues in other professional groups and educational meetings they attend, and the result is defined as sufficient (S) or unsufficient (U). | Progression Paths (Relationship Type) | Graduates of the Faculty of Medicine work in the units of the Ministry, primarily family health centers and community health centers in primary health care, through a lottery organized by the Ministry of Health for two years of compulsory service. Those who are successful in the Medical Specialty Examination, which is organized twice a year, start their specialty education in the hospitals of universities or in the training and research hospitals of the Ministry of Health. In addition, our graduates can participate in international Medical Specialization Exams such as USML, PLAB etc. and if they are successful, they can receive specialty education abroad. | ||

Purpose: To train physicians who can contribute to science with evidence-based medical practices, who embrace free thought and universal science philosophy, who question, who have a motivation for lifelong learning, who respect the autonomy, dignity and life of the individual, who are committed to professional values and ethics, who understand the priority health problems of the society, who protect and improve health, who have the basic field knowledge, professional skills, attitudes and behaviors to provide adequate health services in primary health care institutions, who have sufficient knowledge of patient rights and medical law, who exhibit exemplary behaviors within the health team, who are leaders, and who are open to innovations and changes. |
Education and training is provided through formal, open or, in extraordinary cases distance education. In addition, internships or practical training are provided in classrooms, multidisciplinary laboratories, clinical skills laboratories, university hospital, cooperating health institutions and workplaces.

In the assessment and evaluation of students; methods such as multiple choice exam, written exam, classical oral exam, structured oral exam, practical exam, preparedness assessment, interactive participation in class/clinical practices, logbook, evaluation guide/leaf are applied.
Education and training consist of three consecutive main periods.
Clinically Integrated Basic Period: In the first three years, education and training mainly consist of course boards formed according to theoretical and/or practical, horizontal and vertical integrated subject headings including system-based, professional and clinical skills courses and the course board passing credit system is applied in the exams. At least one midterm and final exam is given in each semester for each course board and for the course outside the course board.
Clinical Medical Sciences Period: It covers the fourth and fifth years including training where there are practical areas such as clinic, polyclinic, operating room and laboratory studies. The theoretical and practical exams held at the end of each training period are called training exams. Each part of the exam can be written and/or oral. In order for students to continue to the fifth grade, they must pass the exams of all trainings they must take in the fourth grade and, if any, a course board left from the Clinical Integrated Basic Period. Students who continue their trainings in the Clinical Medical Sciences Period but fail the exams are required to reschedule the training they failed and take the exams.
Internship Period: This is the sixth grade that allows students to practice the medical profession for a continuous period of twelve months. The condition for students to start this period is to have passed the exams of all compulsory and elective courses they have been responsible for up to this stage and all trainings that must be taken in the fifth grade. During the internship period, students' success is evaluated by the education supervisor of the relevant course, taking into account clinical, polyclinic, laboratory and field studies; shifts held; prepared patient files; relationships with patients, patient owners, physicians and colleagues in other professional groups and educational meetings they attend, and the result is defined as sufficient (S) or unsufficient (U). During the internship period; intern physician evaluation file and student evaluation form are used.
SANKO University quality assurance policy, in line with the mission and vision of our university, is based on a system that is based on universal values, academic autonomy, interaction with the society; increasing the quality of academic, education-training and research activities, ensuring process-oriented management and necessary standards, participation and satisfaction of all stakeholders, continuous improvement and sustainability. Our faculty carries out an accreditation process with its external stakeholders at national and international levels. Our University's Quality Commission carries out internal and external evaluation studies in line with its strategic plan and goals and plans the necessary improvement activities within the scope of the evaluation results. Our university has been included in the "Institutional Accreditation Program" conducted by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) and made mandatory by legislation. Our university has received a 2-year institutional accreditation from YÖKAK as of 2025. SANKO Hospital, of which we are affiliated, has received the Standards of Accreditation in Health (SAS) certificate.
Our faculty has been accredited by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Medical Education Programs (TEPDAD) (Start: 01.01.2025 / End: 01.01.2031).
In order to be admitted to the Faculty of Medicine, students who have completed high school in Turkey must have been placed through a centralized exam conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center; for international students, in addition to the requirements determined by the Higher Education Institution, the requirements specified in the "Directive on SANKO University Associate and Undergraduate Degree International Student Application and Registration Acceptance" of our university must be met.
Graduates of the Faculty of Medicine work in the units of the Ministry, primarily family health centers and community health centers in primary health care, through a lottery organized by the Ministry of Health for two years of compulsory service.
Those who are successful in the Medical Specialty Examination, which is organized twice a year, start their specialty education in the hospitals of universities or in the training and research hospitals of the Ministry of Health.
In addition, our graduates can participate in international Medical Specialization Exams such as USML, PLAB etc. and if they are successful, they can receive specialty education abroad.
SANKO University Faculty of Medicine is one of the first three faculties of SANKO University, which was established by Law No. 6492, which was implemented by the Sani Konukoğlu Foundation as a social responsibility project and published in the Official Journal No. 28681 dated 18.06.2013.
