Graduates of the programs will be able to;

1. describes sport management and the evolution this discipline as a profession
2. applies the functions of planning, organizing, leading, and evaluating to a variety of sport organizations
3. applies management principles, concepts, and practices associated with the operations and maintenance of sports facilities
4. applies financial management principles and concepts to managing a sports organization and facility
5. analyses and understands the dimensions of specific sport marketing plans and strategies
6. applies personal ethics and ethical theory to issues in the business of sport
7. explains how an economic system works balancing the needs of producers and consumers in sport business

Supplementary Learning Outcomes;

Graduates of the programs will be able to;

1. describes how constitutional law affects the sport industry
2. describes the effect governmental agencies have on the roles of sport governing bodies
3. understands the social, legal, ethical, economic, political, and educational impact of sport organizational policies
4. identifies the components and processes of sports event management and apply the best concepts and practices in relation to conducting successful events
5. demonstrates an understanding of leadership – theory and practice; and the critical role effective leadership plays in various sport settings

(1) High School Diploma (2) Placement through a nation-wide Student Selection and Placement Examinations (3) Successful completion of special skills test (4) Certificate of Istanbul Bilgi University English Language Exam (BILET) or acceptable score of TOEFL or similar internationally recognised exams (5) For graduates of short-cycle degree programmes from the same or related fields of studies of vocational schools (MYOs), placement through a nation-wide Vertical Transfer Examination (Dikey Geçiş Sınavı) (6) For foreign students, placement by direct applications of candidates to the university and assessment by the university within the frameworks of the publicly available national and institutional regulations published on the university’s web site.

Qualification is valid indefinitely.
