Ölçme ve Değerlendirme
- Öğrencilere yarıyıl / yıl sonunda aldıkları her ders için bir harf başarı notu verilir.
- Bu not dersi veren öğretim elemanı tarafından verilir.
- Harf notu değerlendirilirken öğrencinin derslerdeki başarısı, ara / yarıyıl sonu sınavları ve derslere devam durumu dikkate alınır. Harf notunun hesaplanması ilgili akademik birim ve Senatonun onayı ile belirlenir.
- Öğrencinin başarı notu 100 puan üzerinden hesaplanır. Bu nota ham başarı puanı denir.
- Ham başarı puanı 25.00ın altında olan öğrenciye doğrudan FF notu verilir ve öğrenci o dersten başarısız olur. Ham başarı puanı 25.00 ve üzeri olan öğrencinin başarı notu, Üniversite Eğitim Komisyonu ve Senato kurul kararları ile belirlenen yöntemlerle değerlendirilir; aşağıda katsayıları ve açıklamaları belirtilen harf notları ile verilmiştir. Bu değerlendirmeden sonra, 25.00 ve üzeri ham başarı puanlarının FF harf notu olması da mümkündür.

- Harf başarı notu (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB), (CC), ( DC) veya (DD) dersin başarılı olduğu kabul edilir. Ancak, mezuniyet için öğrencinin Genel Not Ortalaması (Genel Not Ortalaması) en az 2,00 olmalıdır.
- Türk Öğrenciler için Türkiyede Yükseköğretim Kurumlarının ön lisans ve lisans programlarına öğrenci yerleştirme işlemi, Yükseköğretim Kurulu Ölçme Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi (ÖSYM) tarafından Yerleştirme Sınavı ile yapılmaktadır. İki aşamadan oluşan sınavın birinci aşaması Yükseköğretime Geçiş Sınavı (YGS), ikinci aşaması ise Lisans Yerleştirme Sınavı (LYS) olup, YGSden 500 puan üzerinden 140 puan alan adaylar Lisans Yerleştirme Sınavına katılabilmektedirler. Lisans Yerleştirme Sınavı Matematik, Fen Bilimleri, Yabancı Dil, Sosyal Bilimler, Edebiyat-Coğrafya testinden oluşmaktadır. Öğrenciler sadece alanları ile ilgili sınavlara katılmakta, LYSden 500 puan üzerinden 180 puan alan adaylar ilgili puan türleri ile öğrenci alan lisans programlarını tercih edebilmektedirler. Adaylar lisans programlarına, YGS ve LYSden aldıkları puan ile ortaöğretim (Türk Eğitim Sisteminde lise) başarı puanları esas alınarak ÖSYM tarafından yerleştirilmektedir.
- Yabancı Uyruklu Öğrenciler için Yabancı Uyruklu öğrenciler için Öğrenci Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi tarafından yapılan Yabancı Uyruklu Öğrenci Sınavı (YÖS) 2010-2011 öğretim yılından itibaren kaldırılmıştır. Ancak, Gazi Üniversitesi Yükseköğretim Kurulu Başkanlığının belirlediği ve üniversite senatosunca belirlenen esaslar doğrultusunda adayların geldikleri ülkelerinde yapılan merkezi sınavlar ya da lise mezuniyet ortalamaları dikkate alınarak , a)Yabancı Uyruklu olanların ve b) T.C. veya K.K.T.C. uyruklu olup, lise öğreniminin tamamını yine K.K.T.C. hariç yabancı bir ülkede tamamlayanların, başvurularını değerlendirmeye alarak, tercihleri doğrultusunda daha önce belirlenen kontenjanlara yerleştirme işlemi yapılacaktır.
- Devlet veya özel kurumlarda Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenliği derecesi ile çalışabilirler.
- Ayrıca üniversitenin ilgili bölümlerinde akademik personel olarak istihdam edilebilirler.

It gains interdisciplinary perspective in Social Information, which is an integrated field. Social Studies determines and uses printed, visual and technological materials that are suitable for the achievements in the curriculum and uses them effectively. In the Social Studies course, it selects the problems that will prepare the student for real life and offers alternatives about their effective solution. Social Studies teacher candidate is equipped to train his/her students as individuals who can work independently and take responsibility within the scope of a project. It plans and implements the learning-teaching process in accordance with the characteristics of the achievements determined for Social Studies education. Further Info | Measurement and Evaluation (1) For each course taken, students are given a letter success grade at the end of the semester/year. (2) This grade is given by the instructor of the course. (3) While evaluating the letter grade, a student?s success at classes, mid-terms/final examinations and attendance to classes are considered. The calculation of the letter grade is determined by the approval of the related academic unit and the Senate. (4) The success grade of a student is calculated over 100 points. This grade is called raw success point. (5) A student whose raw success point is under 25.00 is directly given an FF grade and the student fails the course. The success grade of a student whose raw success point is 25.00 and above is evaluated by using the methods determined by the board decisions of the Educational Commission of the University and the Senate; with the letter grades of which coefficients and explanations are mentioned below. After this evaluation, it is also possible that the raw success points 25.00 and above may become FF letter grades. Access Requirements | For Turkish students The process of student placement to associate and undergraduate degree programs of Higher Education Institutions is administered by Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK) with the help of Placement Examination. This examination consists of two stages. The first stage of this examination is called Examination for the Transition to Higher Education (YGS) and the second stage is named as Undergraduate Student Placement Examination (LYS). The candidates that get 140 points out of 500 in Examination for the Transition to Higher Education (YGS) are able to enter Undergraduate Student Placement Examination (LYS). Undergraduate Student Placement Examination (LYS) comprises the tests of Maths, Science, Foreign Language, Social Sciences and Literature- Geography. The students just attend the tests that are related to their own fields, and the candidates who get 180 points out of 500 are supposed to apply for the programs that accept students with relevant kinds of points. The candidates are placed into the undergraduate programs by Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) regarding the points they get from YGS and LYS, and their grade point average (high school grade point average in Turkish education system). For International Students ?Examination for International Students (YÖS)? that is administered by ÖSYM for international students has been abolished since 2010-2011 education period.
