By providing courses covering a broad range of topics in the field, MS program in Materials Engineering at Atılım University provides such opportunity for those individuals who are either fresh BS graduates or practicing engineers who have had some practical experience and would like to improve their knowledge base with further formal academic study. | |

Access Requirements | Acceptance to MS program is done in accordance with the REGULATION ON ATILIM UNIVERSITY GRADUATE PROGRAMS CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 5 (Click here to access the related Regulation).
Foreign students are accepted to the program either by their scores on internationally recognized exams such as SAT and ACT, or by their high school graduation grades.
The acceptance of exchange students is based on the agreements (Erasmus or General Academic Protocols) between Atilim University and the exchange partner university.
The following rules apply for the acceptance of foreign students to MS programs:

Conditions for Success | To graduate from the program, the student has to achieve a minimum of 3.00 out of 4.00 Grade Point Average and has to pass all of the courses in the curriculum with a minimum of CC/S/EX grade (REGULATION ON ATILIM UNIVERSITY GRADUATE PROGRAMS, Article 22 and 24). A minimum of 120 ECTS credits have to be earned for graduation (Article 24). In addition, the students have to give a seminar and complete a thesis in the program with Thesis option, and a Graduation Project in the program with Non-thesis option. | |

- Letter(s) of approval(s) for the items in (1) by Higher Education Council (YÖK)
- Student performance and relevance to the applied program
- Result of the interview by the Department concerned
- Letter of intention
- A reference letter
- English proficiency
- Atilim University Proficiency Exam: 60, YDS:60, or equivalent proficiency as determined by the University Senate.
- Because the medium of education is English, the students who cannot certify their English Language Proficiency are required to attend the Preparatory School for a period of one year.
