• In addition to midterm examinations and other assignments, students are required to take a final examination.
• The student is given a grade by the course instructor, based on the midterm examinations, final examinations, the semester‘ s work and attendance.
• All grade averages are converted into two lettered scale- AA, BA, BB, etc.
• Courses which do not require midterm and / or final examinations are determined by the department concerned, and the Registrars Office is informed accordingly.
• Under these circumstances, the semester grade is given by evaluating the work done throughout the semester.
• The practical and / or laboratory components may be evaluated separately. In this case, the course and practical and / or laboratory sessions taken separately must fulfill the above regulations.
• Students must be successfull and/or pass all courses on the programme including school experience and internship that are explained education and exam regulation of Gaziosmanpaşa University.

Right of admission and registration to the Department of Mathematics can be obtained with YGS and LYS examinations made by ÖSYM (Center for Student Selection and Placement). Students’ admission to any department is subject to scores obtained in these examinations. Students make their choices according to their scores and submit the form of choice to OSYM. Then OSYM places students according to their scores and quotas of departments by ranking students from highest to lowest scores.

A graduate of the program has job opportunities in such areas as education, accounting, budget and financial analysis, marketing research, demographics, banking and finance.
