It is a higher education program that covers an four-semester program based on

secondary education qualifications and provides education in the field of

machinery short cycle education.

Education and training are carried out in the form of formal or, where necessary,

distant learning. In addition, applied training are executed in internship and workplace practice institutions.

• Follows current developments and applications in the profession and effectively utilizes them.

The evaluation criteria in the program are arranged as theoretical courses, laboratory studies and applied studies in terms of main structure. According to the situation of the course, the instructor may have teaching activities such as quizzes, homework, projects, field studies, etc. during the semester.

Instructors are free to change the rates of evaluation of success according to midterm, final exam, quiz, project, etc. activities.

For each course, one of the following letters is given to the students as a success grade. The letters and their coefficients are as follows: Grade Coefficient A 4.0 A- 3.7 B+ 3.3 B 3.0 B- 2.7 C+ 2.3 C 2.0 C- 1.7 D+ 1.3 D 1.0 F1 0.0 F2 0.0

Students whose practical work in a course is incomplete or whose success grade cannot be evaluated within the grading period because they will take an excuse exam are given a grade of E. The student who receives an E grade takes the make-up exam by completing the missing work, if any, within ten days at the latest following the announcement of the grades. The decision to extend this period is made by the relevant unit board of directors. E grades that are not extended or replaced by another grade within fifteen days with the decision of the unit board of directors are automatically converted into F1 grades.

To observe the quality of higher education programs;

• CoHE is responsible for the planning, organization, management and supervision of education and training and other activities carried out in higher education institutions.
• “University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports” of higher education institutions prepared annually within the framework of the criteria determined by CoHE are published. The reports prepared according to these reports, including quantitative and qualitative evaluations of higher education institutions, are shared with the public by CoHE.
• Every year, CoHE publishes the “Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report”, which includes academic, administrative, and financial data on foundation higher education institutions. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by CoHE.

Quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is ensured according to the “Procedures and Principles for Ensuring Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs”:

1. Creation and Approval of Curricula:
   1. CoHE determines the minimum standards and criteria required for the opening of associate degree departments and programs in higher education institutions.
   2. The curriculum of associate degree programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each program will provide to students are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by CoHE on these issues.
   3. The curricula of the National Core Curricula are adopted by the relevant Council of Deans and implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of the CoHE.
2. Measurement-Evaluation: The measurement and evaluation of the learning outcomes of each associate degree program is carried out according to the education and training and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by CoHE on these issues.
3. Certification: Students enrolled in associate degree programs, if they successfully complete the course credits and other obligations determined by higher education institutions; receive a associate degree diploma.
4. Self-Assessment-External Assessment: In the context of continuous monitoring, higher education institutions enter their “Institutional Internal Evaluation Reports” for the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) at the beginning of each year. THEQC shares the “Institutional Feedback Report” prepared for the external evaluation of higher education institutions with the public. In addition, accreditation decisions issued by accreditation bodies authorized or recognized by THEQC also indicate that the quality assurance of the qualifications of the programs is ensured. THEQC conducts regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with the legislation.

The quality of the program has been assured by meeting the accreditation requirements of MEDEK (Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Vocational Education), which can accredit different programs of vocational colleges in Turkey.

• Students are admitted to the Machine Program with the university entrance exam conducted by ÖSYM. Candidate students for our program can make preferences with their Basic Proficiency Test (TYT) scores. Foreign students are accepted with the Foreign National Student Exam (YÖS).
• Apart from the General Admission Requirements, our program also accepts students through Transfer and Double Major Program (DMP).

• Students who have an associate degree can continue their education at the undergraduate level by transferring to undergraduate programs with the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
• Associate degree students have the right to participate in double major programs offered by the higher education institutions where they study. Students enrolled in these programs can take courses from two different associate degree programs simultaneously and are entitled to receive two separate associate degree diplomas if they successfully complete both programs.
