- Endüstriyel malzemelerin genel özellik ve kullanım alanlarını bilme, seçimini yapabilmek.
- Makina elemanlarının tasarımını yapabilmek.
- Talaşlı ve talaşsız imalat tezgâhlan ve kaynak makinalarını kullanarak üretim yapabilmek.
- Makina teknolojisi için ölçü ve kontrol aletleri ile gereksinim duyduğu ölçme ve kalite kontrol işlemlerini yapabilmek.
- Kaynaklı olarak üretilmiş parçalarda gerekli tahribatsız deney yöntemlerini kullanarak hataları saptayarak bu hataların giderilmesi yönünde gerekli düzeltmeleri yapabilmek.
- Makinalarda oluşacak hataları istatistiki olarak önceden saptayarak bu hataların oluşmasını önleyecek koruyucu bakımı yapabilme, arıza durumunda gerekli müdahaleleri yapabilmek.
- İş parçalarının CAD istasyonunda çizimlerini, CNC tezgâhlarında ise uygulamalarını yapabilir.
- CAD/CAM ve AUTOCAD paket programlarını çalıştırabilme ve kullanabilmek.
- Mühendislik bilimleri ve teknolojinin bilimsel ilkeleri doğrultusunda hesaplamalar yaparak pratiğe aktarabilmek.
- Otomatik kontrol sistemlerinin vazgeçilmez elemanları olan pnömatik ve hidrolik sistemlerdeki elemanları tamir edebilir ve çalışmalarını düzenleyebilmek.
- Tüm program boyunca Makina teknikeri olarak yetişen öğrenci, çalışma alanında endüstriyel görev tanımı olarak hata bulma, problem çözme, karar verme, işlev ve faaliyetlerin planlanması olduğunu bilir ve bu kişilere bu özellikleri kazanmaları hedeflenerek sağlanabilmek.

- To be able to know general properties and usage areas of industrial materials and make selection.
- Design of machine elements.
- To be able to make production using machining and welding machines without machining.
- To be able to make measurement and quality control processes with machine tools for measuring and control equipment.
- To be able to make necessary corrections in order to determine the mistakes by using the necessary non-destructive test methods in welded parts and to eliminate these mistakes.
- Preventive measures to prevent the occurrence of these faults by preliminarily determining the faults that will occur in the machines as statistical data and to make necessary interventions in case of breakdown.
- They can make drawings of work pieces on CAD station and apply them on CNC looms.
- Ability to operate and use CAD / CAM and AUTOCAD package programs.
- To be able to transfer engineering science and technology to practice by making calculations in the direction of scientific principles.
- It can repair the elements in pneumatic and hydraulic systems which are indispensable elements of automatic control systems and can regulate their work.
- The student who is trained as a machine technician during the whole program knows that industrial task definition in the field of work is error finding, problem solving, decision making, planning of functions and activities and they can be achieved by aiming to acquire these characteristics.
