- Lisans eğitiminde edindiği matematik, fen ve mühendislik bilgilerini Maden Mühendisliği (maden işletme ve cevher hazırlama/zenginleştirme) problemlerinin ileri çözümünde kullanma becerisi kazanır.
- Maden işletme ve cevher hazırlama/zenginleştirme ile ilgili problemleri ileri düzeyde tanımlama, formüle etme ve çözme becerisi sergiler.
- Alanı ile ilgili teorik ve deneysel çalışmaları tasarlama, yürütme, sonuçları analiz etme ve yorumlama becerisine sahip olur.
- Maden işletme, cevher hazırlama/zenginleştirme süreçleri geliştirebilir, proje hazırlayabilir ve değerlendirebilir.
- Bir konuda bağımsız olarak bilimsel ve teknik araştırma yapabilir, araştırmalarının sonuçlarını yazılı ve/veya sözlü olarak sunabilir.
- Maden işletme veya cevher hazırlama/zenginleştirme projelerinin geliştirilmesinde ve ileri mühendislik problemlerinin çözümünde modern mühendislik, bilgisayar modelleme ve simulasyon araçlarını kullanabilir.
- Maden mühendisliği uygulamalarının evrensel ve toplumsal etkilerini anlama, doğal kaynakları en verimli şekilde kullanmak için gerekli sorumluluk bilincini, mesleki ve etik sorumluluğunu taşır.

Maden Mühendisleri kamu ve özel sektörde görev yapmaktadır. Conditions for Success | Graduated students can work in various coal and metal mines, mineral processing and enrichment plants, cement industry, various transportation tunnels, dimension stone and marble quarries, sand and gravel quarries, ceramic industry and engineering consultancy firms which are specialized in projects and feasibility studies. The students who have successfully completed a minimum of 21 local credits (equivalant to 60 ECTS credits) from thought courses delivered within the graduate programme of the department and in related fields, and prepared and successfully defended a thesis are given Masters Degree in MINING ENGINEERING. | |
