- Veteriner teknikerlik düzeyinde verilen bilgiyi özümseme ve gerektiğinde kullanabilme becerisi kazanır.
- Analiz etme ve sentezleme becerisi kazanır.
- Mesleki ve etik sorumluluk bilincine sahip olabilmek.
- Hayvan türleri ve ırkları ile temel özelliklerini tanıma Laboratuvarda, sorumlu hekim nezaretinde kayıt, hazırlık ve test yapabilmek.
- Asepsi ve antisepsi ile pre-operatif ve post-operatif dönemde hayvanın bakımını yapabilmek.
- Parazit enfestasyonları ve enfeksiyöz hastalıklardan korunma ve kontrolü için yapılacak çalışmalarda Veteriner Hekime yardımcı olabilmek.
- Kuramsal olarak belirlenen hayvan besleme protokollerini hazırlama ve kullanabilmek.
- Veteriner Hekime muayene, görüntüleme ve cerrahi uygulamalar sırasında yardımda bulunabilme ve Veteriner Hekim tarafından planlanan her türlü uygulamayı yürütebilmek.
- Hayvancılıkta verimin artırılmasına yönelik çalışmalar yapmak.
