Key Learning Outcomes;

Graduates of the programs will be able to;

1. At the completion of this program, the student will be able to approach the social issue as a “fait social total” thanks to his/her interdisciplinary formation.
2. At the completion of this program, the student will be able to explain and understand the whys and hows of the contemporary cultural issues.
3. At the completion of this program, the student will be able to easily mobilize different methods and techniques of the cultural analysis.
4. At the completion of this program, the student will be endowed with an awareness concerning the causes and reproduction of the contemporary mechanisms and dispositives of exclusion and deprivation.
5. At the completion of this program,the student will be able to acquire a mindset that will help him become a better world citizen who imagines and advocates a more humane and just society.
6. At the completion of this program, the student will understand the ethical issues in research.
7. At the completion of this program, the student will acquire necessary knowledge in order to conduct a serious academic research.

Graduates of the programs will be able to;

1. At the completion of this program, the students will gain the qualification of professional researcher about the issues of sociocultural phenomena.
2. At the completion of this program, student will develop oral and written communication skills; student will be encouraged to participate in teamwork.
3. At the completion of this program, the student will have a broader outlook on cultural studies, social and human sciences with the introduction of an alternative methodology.
4. At the completion of this program, the student will develop an understanding of the multiple methods in cultural analysis.
5. At the completion of this program, student will acquire a complete structure is constructed from focusing on the techniques in academic writing to research and writing processes.

(1) First cycle (Bachelor's degree) (2) National centralized Graduate Education Entrance Examination (3) Certificate of Istanbul Bilgi University English Language Exam (BILET) or acceptable score of TOEFL or similar internationally recognised exams (4) Satisfactory score on the admission interview

The grad students of this program easily engages all the social science doctorate programs except financial ones by their scientific experience and equipments. The grad students of this program are able to take responsibility in any of the cultural industries such as media, PR, cultural management, art critics and etc. The grad students of this program are able to work activily in the third sector, NGOs. The grad students of this program are able to be a manager in any of the public or private organisation’s social responsibility actions.

Qualification is valid indefinitely.
