  • Learn about clinical psychology, which is an area of specialty in psychology that involved prevention, assessment, and psychotherapy of psychological disorders with the understanding of scientist-practitioner model.

  • According to BAU Bachelor's Degree Program Education Regulations, Article 23, 1st and 4th provisions, “there must be at least one midterm exam and one semester/year end exam among the evaluation activities of each course”.
  • Requirements to take the resit exam are devised by the Senate. If the course instructor deems appropriate, semester/year activities such as homeworks and laboratary projects can be assessed as a part of the semester/year end grade. 
  • The course instructor decides student’s course grade by considering student’s midterm grade, semester/ year end grade, semester/year performance, and attendance.
  • Semester/year end exam must constitute at least 40% of the course grade; and course instructor is authorised to determine the weight of midterm exam and semester/year end exam, and to convert these grades to course grade.
  • Regulations regarding the evaluation process are clearly stated on the course syllabus and announced to students at the beginning of the semester/year.
  • Student’s course grade is decided by taking student’s all activities during the semester/year into consideration and by applying relative evaluation system.

Access Requirements

The admission requirements for this program consists of criteria such as the cumulative grade point average from previous studies, ALES score, and a score from an officially accepted foreign language exam. The minimum requirements of these criteria are regulated by Bahçeşehir University. Students graduated from psychology departments can apply to the program. The admission exam consists of three levels. Students who meet the minimum criteria mentioned above will be listed according to that year's average and those who are above that average proceed to the second level, the written exam. And finally, those students who pass the written exam are invited to an oral exam to be assessed in terms of their suitability to the program.

Conditions for Success-
Progression Paths (Relationship Type)

After successfully receiving their Clinical Psychologist titles, they can work in psychiatry clinics of hospitals, counseling centers, courts, forensic settings, schools and other educational settings, and in various other institutions that would need clinical psychologists.
