| Access Requirements | Doctoral candidates have to hold at least a Master degree at the related area and have to have a minimum score of 55 from the National Academic Staff & Graduate Education Exam (ALES). Doctoral candidates holding a Bachelor degree combined with Master Degree have to have a minimum score of 85 from the National Academic Staff & Graduate Education Exam (ALES). In addition, the total of 60% of ALES score, 30% of undergraduate graduation score and 10% of written exam score must be at least 90 points. In addition each doctoral candidate has to have a minimum score of 55 from the Foreign Language Exam for Inter-universities Board (ÜDS) or equivalent of these scores from a foreign language exam which is approved by the Inter-university Board. Candidates, with a master degree, appliliyng to PhD program must have at least 65 points, consisting of 60% of the relevant ALES score, 30% of the undergraduate graduation grade and 10% of the written exam score. The placement is made according to the highest average scores. Foreign students have to obtain an equivalence document of their graduate diploma from Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK) and have to have a Turkish score of B2 (according to the European Language Portfolio) or 70 (out of 100).
