| Başarma Şartları | 120 AKTS ders kredisinden az olmamak koşulu ile en az yedi ders, bir seminer dersi ve tez çalışmasını başarmak ve varsa ilgili yükseköğretim kurumu senatosunun/enstitüsünün belirlemiş olduğu diğer yükümlülükleri yerine getirmek. Tezli yüksek lisans programlarına kabul edilen öğrencilerden lisans derecesini kabul edildikleri yüksek lisans programından farklı alanlarda almış olanlar ile lisans derecesini kabul edildikleri yükseköğretim kurumu dışındaki yükseköğretim kurumlarından almış olan yüksek lisans programı adayları için eksikliklerini gidermek amacıyla en çok iki yarıyıl bilimsel hazırlık programı uygulanabilir. Lisans yeterliliklerine dayalı, öğrencinin bilimsel araştırma yöntemlerini kullanarak bilgilere erişme, bilgiyi derleme, yorumlama ve değerlendirme becerisi kazanmasını sağlayan bir yükseköğretim programıdır.
Öğrenme örgün öğretim şeklinde gerçekleşir. Ayrıca uygulamalı eğitimler yükseköğretim kurumları bünyesindeki araştırma merkezleri ve laboratuvarda yapılmaktadır.
- Bir bilim dalı, iş veya öğrenme alanında özgün fikirlerin oluşturulmasına veya araştırma yapılmasına temel teşkil edebilecek ileri üstü düzeyde bilgiye ve uzmanlık bilgisine sahiptir.
- Bir öğrenme alanı ve bunun etkileşim içinde olduğu diğer alanlara ait bilgileri eleştirebilecek düzeyde farkındalığa sahiptir.

- Ölçme ve değerlendirmede ödev, proje, uygulama, ara sınav ve dönem sonu sınavı gibi farklı yöntemler kullanılır.

Yükseköğretim programlarının niteliğinin gözetilmesi için;
- YÖK, yükseköğretim kurumlarında eğitim ve öğretim ile diğer faaliyetlerin planlanması, düzenlenmesi, yönetilmesi ve denetlenmesinden sorumludur.
- YÖK tarafından belirlenen kriterler çerçevesinde hazırlanan yükseköğretim kurumlarına ait “Üniversite İzleme ve Değerlendirme Raporları” her yıl yayımlanır. Bu raporlara göre hazırlanan, yükseköğretim kurumlarına yönelik nicel ve nitel değerlendirmeleri içeren raporlarda YÖK tarafından kamuoyu ile paylaşılır.
- YÖK tarafından vakıf yükseköğretim kurumlarına ait akademik, idari ve mali verileri içeren “Vakıf Yükseköğretim Kurumları Raporu” her yıl yayımlanır. Vakıf yükseköğretim kurumlarına yönelik yapılan nicel ve nitel değerlendirmeleri içeren bu raporlar YÖK tarafından kamuoyu ile paylaşılır.
Yükseköğretimde lisans programlarının kalite güvencesi “Yükseköğretim Diploma Programlarının Kalite Güvencesinin Sağlanmasına Yönelik Usul ve Esaslar” a göre sağlanır:
- Öğretim Programlarının Oluşturulması ve Onaylanması: Yükseköğretim kurumlarında tezli yüksek lisans programların açılması için gerekli olan asgari standart ve ölçütleri YÖK belirler.
- Yükseköğretim kurumlarında tezli yüksek lisans programlarının müfredatı ve her bir programın öğrenciye kazandıracağı öğrenme kazanımlarının neler olacağı, YÖK’ün bu konularda belirlediği temel ilkelere uygun olarak yükseköğretim kurumlarının senatoları tarafından belirlenir.
- Ölçme-Değerlendirme: Her bir tezli yüksek lisans programının öğrenciye kazandıracağı öğrenme kazanımlarının ölçme ve değerlendirmesinin nasıl yapılacağı, YÖK’ün bu konularda belirlediği temel ilkelere uygun olarak yükseköğretim kurumları tarafından hazırlanan öğretim ve sınav yönetmeliğine göre yürütülür.
- Belgelendirme: Tezli yüksek lisans programlarına kayıtlı öğrenciler, yükseköğretim kurumları tarafından belirlenen ders kredilerini ve diğer yükümlülükleri başarı ile tamamlamaları halinde; tezli yüksek lisans diploması alır.
- Öz Değerlendirme-Dış Değerlendirme: Yükseköğretim kurumları, sürekli izleme bağlamında, her yılın başında bir önceki yıla ait “Kurum İç Değerlendirme Raporlarını” Yükseköğretim Kalite Kurulu (YÖKAK) tarafından hazırlanan Bilgi Sistemine girer. YÖKAK, yükseköğretim kurumlarının dış değerlendirmesine ilişkin hazırladığı “Kurumsal Geri Bildirim Raporu”nu kamuoyuyla paylaşılır.
Ayrıca, YÖKAK tarafından yetkilendirilen veya tanınan akreditasyon kuruluşları tarafından verilen akreditasyon kararları da programların yeterliliklerinin kalite güvencesinin sağlandığını gösterir. YÖKAK mevzuatı gereği belirlenen yeterliliklere ilişkin düzenli gözden geçirme faaliyetleri yapar.
- Lisans diplomasına sahip olmak.
- Usul ve esasları YÖK tarafından belirlenen, başvurulan programın puan türünde YÖK tarafından belirlenen minimum puandan az olmamak koşuluyla ilgili yükseköğretim kurumunun senato kararı ile belirlenecek olan Ölçme, Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi (ÖSYM) tarafından yapılan merkezi sınav puanına sahip olmak.
- Güzel sanatlar fakültelerinin ve konservatuvarların sadece özel yetenek sınavı ile öğrenci kabul eden programlarının enstitülerdeki anabilim ve ana sanat dallarına öğrenci kabulünde ÖSYM tarafından yapılan merkezi sınav puanı aranmaz.

Following the submission of students’ academic program preferences, they are placed into the relevant program according to the score they get from ÖSYS by Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTSInternational students are accepted to the program according to the score of one of the international exams they have taken such as SAT I,ACT, GCE etc. or according to their scores of the International Student Examination held by Turkish universities within the admission requirements on condition that their score is sufficient.FOR EXCHANGE STUDENTSExchange student admission is carried out according to the requirements determined by bilateral agreements (ERASMUS, Farabi, Mevlana or General Academic Memorandum) signed by BEU and the partner university.FOR VISITING STUDENTSVisiting students can enroll for the courses offered in programs upon the confirmation of the related academic unit. Additionally, students need to submit proof of their English language level for enrollment since the medium of instruction in some lectures is English.FOR MASTER’S DEGREEStudents must apply the related Institutes with the required documents within the dates announced in the BEU website. Requirements for application and documents required have been determined in the BEU regulation of Postgraduate Education and Examination.
