Has basic theoretical and practical knowledge about Occupational Health and Work Safety. It has knowledge of accessing, evaluating and enforcing basic level information on Worker Health and Work Safety.It uses basic theoretical and practical knowledge of Worker Health and Work Safety. Interprets and evaluates data using the basic knowledge and skills acquired in the field of Worker Health and Work Safety, identifies, analyzes, and takes part in the planned work for the solution.Is conscious of occupational and ethical responsibility.Uses computing and communication technologies together with computer software. at least the European Computer Use License Basic Level required by the field. Along with the awareness of the necessity of life-long learning; s/he has the skills of monitoring advances in science and technology and continuous adaptation.Works effectively both individually and in multidisciplinary teams.Uses at least English level A2 according to the European Language Portfolio.Conveys his / her thoughts at the level of basic knowledge and skills that he / she has gained about the field through written and oral communication.Has enough knowledge about basic law, universality of social rights, social justice, quality and cultural values and environmental protection, occupational health and safety.To have sufficient knowledge about measurement techniques and methods for work safety and health.To have information about the basic measures to be taken in order to protect the health of workers and prevent occupational diseases that can occur.To have the skill of planning and implementing job security trainings.To have knowledge of job security materials, warnings and danger signs and plates, to have information about their properties and to have appropriate use ability for their purpose.To be able to define and evaluate the risks of work safety that may occur in the work environment by analyzing the production processes.

It is necessary that each student enrolls to courses at the begining of each term and maintains a minimum attendance of 70% (80% for practice courses) in order to be able to take the final exam.Students are required to take at least one midterm exam and a final exam for each course. The midterm exam constitutes 30% and the final exam constitutes 70% of the achievement grade.( homeworks, practice exams, quiz, etc. can also be assessed as the midterm grade) The general rules regarding examination regulations, assessment and evaluation are regulated by Kavram College of Higher Education Associate’s Degree Education and Examination Regulations . Candidates must hold a high school (or equivalent) degree and must have achieved the required score from the University Entrance Exam (LYS) and Transition to Higher Education Exam (YGS) held on central basis by OSYM (Student Selection and Placement Centre).

Program graduates serve as Occupational Health and Safety Technicians in fire departments, civil defense and similar emergency facilities in all institutions, organizations and enterprises, commercial centers, high-rise buildings, universities and campus schools, shopping centers and public open centers. In addition, those who are successful in the specialization examination can work as experts in C-document and in businesses classified as less dangerous as Job Security Expert .
