Have enough content area knowledge about their main field. Have enough knowledge about the sub fields (Science, Physics etc). Have pedagogical knowledge about teacher profession and their field. Have knowledge of foreign language as much as they can follow the foreign resources related to their field. Have ability to use Information and Communication Technologies effectively in mathematics teaching. Know elementary second level students development properties and learning styles; do effective planning, material development and applications proper to these features. Know enough knowledge about the structure of Turkish Education System and its historical development. Will become a teacher who is devoted to Atatürks principles and Turkish revolution; believe democracy, being aware of the Turkish national, moral, ethical and cultural values and sensitive to these in occupation. Have scientific and analytical thinking abilities, know scientific research methods and techniques and use them in-class applications. Know the relations among Mathematics-Society- Environment-History and utilize them in their daily and professional life. Have general culture about the fields such as history, geography, civilization, environment, technology etc. in order to accomplish interdisciplinary work and associate the course with other disciplines. Have the ability of using Turkish appropriate to the rules and effectively; establishing productive communication with students and colleagues. Have general knowledge about students who need special care. They know and apply contemporary teaching methods and techniques, assessment and evaluation methods. Know the basic learning fields and objectives of the mathematics curriculum. Establish descent communication with his/her students and colleagues. Have the skills of mathematical communication, problem solving, reasoning and relating. Utilize the mathematical content knowledge in an effective manner during the learning and teaching process. Relate mathematics to other disciplines. Familiarize with the nature of mathematics and its historical development. Develop a positive attitude towards life-long learning. Assume responsibility in individual and group tasks. Will be able to do self-evaluation. Learn how to learn. Appreciate the national culture and universal values. Actively participate in social and cultural events.

Candidates must have high school or equivalent degree and must have enough points at University Student Selection Exam. If any foreign language and special skills related to the entry requirements should be specified
