The curriculum of Department of Economics includes the basic concepts, methods and problems of economics together with the actual developments in Turkish and world economy. The curriculum involves the analysis of economic problems related to our country and world within the framework of theoretical developments and different economic approaches. The courses are designed not only theoretical but also applied basis. Program Educational Objectives are as follows:

1. The career goal of graduates is to become an entrepreneur, depending on their preferences, and to work in private or public economic-related units.

2. Our graduates work in fields that require economic analysis.

3. Graduates take on economic/financial analyst and managerial roles in their fields of work.

4. Our graduates have the professional expectation of becoming policy makers with the economic analyzes they make in the institution they work for.

Located in the center of Ankara, Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University is close to many shopping centers, guesthouses, dormitories and residential areas. It offers its students all the opportunities of modern urban life, from entertainment to culture and art, from shopping to nutrition, and has all the advantages of being a city university.

Whether a course is successful or not is determined by the course success grade. The course success grade is determined by the relevant academician, taking into account the grades the student receives from the midterm exams and final exams during the semester/year, the absolute values ​​in the first paragraph of Article 24, or the general status of the class, arithmetic averages and statistical distribution.

The raw success grade of a course is determined by adding 40% of the student's midterm exam grade during the semester/year and/or the activities within the scope of the midterm exam and 60% of the final exam or make-up exam.

The exam results are announced to the students by the instructor who teaches the course by entering them into the ÖİBS within the period specified in the academic calendar. The grade becomes final on the day it is approved by the instructor.

The absolute values ​​of the coefficients of the course success grades are applied as follows:

A student who receives the grade AA, BA, BB, CB, CC, DC or DD from a course is considered to have succeeded in that course.

Students who do not take the end-of-term/end-of-year exam are given a GR grade regardless of their work during the semester/year, and their grade is entered into the system as zero.

DZ and GR grades are treated as FF and are included in the weighted general grade point average. Courses that are failed with DZ and GR grades are taken first in the following semester/year.

Grades from courses taken in the last five years at higher education institutions where they were previously educated are converted to letter grades. The criteria to be used in grade conversion are determined by the Senate.

A student whose success score is below 49.00 is considered to have failed that course directly by receiving a (FF) grade, even if the grade is applied by taking into account the arithmetic average and statistical values ​​determined by the relevant academician.

In order to monitor the quality of higher education programs;

• YÖK is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and supervising education and training and other activities in higher education institutions.

• “University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports” of higher education institutions prepared within the framework of criteria determined by YÖK are published every year. The reports prepared according to these reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.

• “Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report”, which includes academic, administrative and financial data of foundation higher education institutions, is published every year by YÖK. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK. Quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is provided according to the “Procedures and Principles for Providing Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs”:

1. Creation and Approval of Curriculum: The Council of Higher Education determines the minimum standards and criteria required for establishing undergraduate departments and programs in higher education institutions.

1.1. The curriculum of undergraduate programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each program will provide to students are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by the Council of Higher Education on these issues.

1.2. The curriculum of the National Core Curriculum is approved by the relevant Deans' Council and implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of the Council of Higher Education.

2. Measurement and Evaluation: The measurement and evaluation of the learning outcomes that each undergraduate program will provide to students is carried out in accordance with the education and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by the Council of Higher Education on these issues.

3. Certification: Students enrolled in undergraduate programs receive a bachelor's degree if they successfully complete the course credits and other obligations determined by the higher education institutions.

4. Self Assessment-External Assessment: In the context of continuous monitoring, higher education institutions enter the “Internal Institutional Assessment Reports” of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. YÖKAK shares the “Institutional Feedback Report” prepared for the external evaluation of higher education institutions with the public. In addition, accreditation decisions made by accreditation institutions authorized or recognized by YÖKAK also show that the quality assurance of the program qualifications is provided. YÖKAK conducts regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with its legislation.
