- İç mekan tasarım sürecini, mimarlık ve sanat alanında üretilmiş kuramsal ve pratik bilgiler doğrultusunda şekillendirebilmek.
- Öğrencinin inisiyatif alarak, kendi projesini bağımsız bir şekilde tasarlayıp, sorumluluk alabilmesine olanak sağlamak.
- İç mimarlık disiplini ile beraber çalışabilecek farklı alanlarla disiplinlerarası bir anlayış içerisinde tasarım ve uygulama süreci yürütebilmek.
- Profesyonel hayatta rahat ve doğru mesleki iletişim becerisi için iç mimarlık temsil yöntemlerine ve mesleki terminolojiye hakim olmak.
- İç mimarlık alanına ait literatürdeki bilgileri de kullanarak güncel söylem üretme ve eleştirel düşünme yetisine sahip olmak. İç mimarlık pratiğinde, doğal çevre ve kültürel mirasın korunması konusunda duyarlı, meslek etiği bilincine hakim meslek insanları yetiştirmek.
- İç mimarlık alanındaki kavramlara, tartışmalara ve gelişmelere dair bilgiye erişebilme becerisi ve araştırma yöntemlerine hakim olmak.
- Tez yazım tekniklerini öğrenmek ve uygulayabilmek.
- İç mimarlık alanının gerektirdiği konularda bilim ve teknolojideki gelişmeleri izleme ve bu gelişmeler doğrultusunda kendisini sürekli yenileme becerisine sahip olmak.
- Proje ve şantiye yönetimi ve uygulamaları, çalışanların sağlığı, çevre ve iş güvenliği bilinci, mesleki standartlar ve iş hukukuna hakim olmak.
- Yaşadığımız iç mekanlardaki problemleri ve ihtiyaçları tespit edebilme ve kullanıcı ihtiyaçlarını çerçevesinde tasarım önerileri oluşturabilme ve uygulayabilme becerisi geliştirmek.
- İç mekan tasarımını, doğru ve yenilikçi malzeme seçimi, detay çözümleri ve uygulama pratikleri dahilinde düşünebilmek.
- Ders ve tez döneminde dersin öğretim elemanları ile birebir görüşme sağlayarak ders çıktıları üzerinden hazırlanan ödevlerin teslim edilmesi ve teslim edilen araştırma ödevlerinin akademik koşullara uygunluğunun ve içeriklerinin incelenmesi ile sınav değerlendirmesi sağlanmaktadır.

To enable the student to take the initiative; designing independently and taking responsibility of her/his project. To master the methods of representation in interior design and professional terminology for comfortable and correct professional communication skills in professional life. To be able to produce contemporary discourse and to think critically by using the knowledge in the literature of interior design. To educate designers who are aware of the protection of the natural environment and cultural heritage and who are aware of their professional ethics.
