1. ability of individuals graduated from interior architecture, interior design and related fields to specialize in specific topics,
2. ability of students to acquire knowledge through scientific research as well as to evaluate and interpret this knowledge and to reveal creative and researcher identities,
3. opportunity to deeply support the practical experience in the field with theoretical knowledge,
4. opportunity to study design and theory, renovations and history, urban interiors, social-psychological and cultural factors, ecological design, acoustics, lighting and color, advanced structures, management and marketing,
5. educating prospective members of the profession who will be able to evaluate the various demands of the society as well as the academic staff required for the university,
6. ability of students equipped with all the necessary scientific infrastructure to take part in applications in various disciplines,
7. ability of all graduates of the program to play a leading role in the improvement of the standard of living in the future,
8. ability to evaluate and critically approach the business in professional settings by using the knowledge of the expertise,
9. ability to convey opinions and suggestions, both orally and in writing, based on the knowledge gained at the level of expertise in interior architecture,
10. ability to communicate with colleagues conducting research in interior architecture and to contribute to these researches,
11. ability to use a foreign language at least at the general level of the European language portfolio B2.

Profile of the Programme:

The program consists of 54 courses in eight semesters (157 credits). The minimum total ECTS credits required to graduate from Interior Architecture undergraduate program are 240 ECTS.

Assessment and Grading:

Examinations, grading and grading procedures are carried out according to Çankaya University Undergraduate and Associate Degree Education and Training Regulations. The rules applied during the exams are carried out according to the Examination Guidelines of Çankaya University.

Recognition of Prior Learning:

Substitutions of the courses taken in other undergraduate programs may be accepted, provided that they are documented and presented to the Department Chair and the Faculty Administrative Board, in consequence of evaluation the appropriateness and adequacy of course content.

National students of the Republic of Turkey are placed in the program through Student Selection and Placement System (ÖSYS) organized by Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). The registration and acceptance of international students takes place under the rules of the University.

Graduate students of this program have the title of Interior Architect with the registration to the Chamber of Interior Architects of TMMOB. There are lots of options for the graduates of interior architecture. For the ones who are eager to pursue their career in academic field, master's and doctoral programs provide specializations on preferred areas. Moreover, for graduates who want to start their career in the field, there is a chance to have specializations on some specific building types. For instance, there are interior architects who conduct only public or commercial projects. Most of the famous furniture designers and producers are from the discipline of interior architecture. Acoustics, natural and artificial lighting design, interior design of yacht, stage design and TV-set design are some areas of specialization for interior architects. Interior architects work with other disciplines, therefore; it is necessary
to teach the basic formation of these disciplines during the education. This knowledge ensures that there is a rich range of options for graduates of interior architecture department.
