Adayların işlemleri Enstitü Müdürlüğü tarafından düzenlenir ve yürütülür. (2) Yüksek lisans programlarına başvurabilmek için adayların; a) Lisans diplomasına sahip olmaları, ALES’den en az 55.00 eşit ağırlıklı puan almaları gerekir. b) Adayın başvurduğu programa yerleşebilmesi için; ALES puanının (eşit ağırlık) %60’ı yüzlük sisteme göre hesaplanan lisans mezuniyet not ortalamasının %40’ının toplamının 55.00’den az olmaması gerekir. c) Yüksek lisans giriş puanı 55.00 ve daha fazla olan adaylar, anabilim dallarınca ilan edilen kontenjan sayısı kadar puan sıralamasına göre sıralanarak programlara kabul edilir. (3) Doktora programlarına başvurabilmek için adayların; a) Temel tıp bilimleri dışındaki bir doktora programına başvurabilmek için bir lisans veya yüksek lisans diplomasına, hazırlık sınıfları hariç en az on yarıyıl süreli Tıp, Diş Hekimliği ve Veteriner fakülteleri diplomasına, Eczacılık, Fen-Edebiyat fakülteleri (fen kesimi) mezunlarının lisans veya yüksek lisans derecesine veya Sağlık Bakanlığınca düzenlenen esaslara göre bir laboratuar dalında kazanılan uzmanlık yetkisine sahip olmaları ve ALES’den en az 55, lisans diploması ile başvuranlar için en az 85 sayısal puan almış olmaları gerekir. b) Temel tıp bilimlerinde doktora programlarına başvurabilmek için; Tıp Fakültesi mezunlarının lisans diplomasına sahip olmaları ve temel tıp puanından en az 50 puan veya ALES sayısal kısmından en az 55 puan almış olmaları; Tıp Fakültesi mezunu olmayanların ise yüksek lisans diplomasına, Diş Hekimliği ve Veteriner Fakültesi mezunlarının lisans derecesine sahip olmaları ve ALES’den en az 55 sayısal, lisans diploması ile başvuranların ise en az 85 sayısal puan almış olmaları gerekir. Temel tıp puanı; Tıpta Uzmanlık Sınavının (TUS) temel tıp bilimleri testi I inci bölümünden elde edilen standart puanın 0.7, temel tıp bilimleri testi II nci bölümünden elde edilen standart puanın 0.3 ile çarpılarak toplanması ile elde edilir. c) Ayrıca tüm doktora programına öğrenci kabulünde ÜDS’den en az 55.00 puan veya Üniversitelerarası Kurulca kabul edilen bir sınavdan bu puana eşdeğer bir puan, yabancı uyruklu öğrenciler için ana dilleri dışında İngilizce, Fransızca ve Almanca dillerinden birinden ÜDS’den en az 55 puan veya Üniversitelerarası Kurulca kabul edilen bir sınavdan bu puana eşdeğer bir puan alınmış olması gerekir. ç) Adayın başvurduğu programa yerleşebilmesi için; Tıp, Diş Hekimliği ve Veteriner Fakültesi mezunlarının mezuniyet not ortalamasının % 40’ı ve ALES sayısal puanının % 60’ının toplamı başarı notu olarak kabul edilir. Başarı notunun en az 65 puan olması gerekir. Lisans diploması ile başvuranların ise, ALES’den alması gereken en az 85 sayısal puanının % 60’ı ile yüzlük sisteme göre hesaplanan lisans mezuniyet not ortalamasının %40’ının toplamının en az 90 puan olması gerekir. Diğer fakülte veya yüksekokul mezunlarından yüksek lisans derecesine sahip olanların ise; lisans mezuniyet not ortalamasının %30’u ve yüksek lisans mezuniyet not ortalamasının %10’u ile ALES sınavından aldığı notun %60’ı başarı notu olarak belirlenir. Başarı notunun en az 65 olması gerekir. Bu sonuçlara göre adaylar anabilim dallarınca ilan edilen kontenjan sayısı kadar puan sıralamasına göre sıralanarak programlara kabul edilir. Her anabilim dalı için puan sıralamasına göre yedek aday belirlenir. (4) Değerlendirilen sonuçlar en geç üç gün içinde Enstitü Müdürlüğünce ilan edilir. Kesin kayıtlar Enstitü Müdürlüğü tarafından yapılır. Belirtilen süre içerisinde kayıt yaptırmayan asil adayların yerine listedeki yedek adaylara puan sıralamasına göre kayıt hakkı tanınır. | Başarma Şartları | Program toplam 21 yerel krediden az olmamak koşuluyla en az yedi adet ders, bir seminer dersi ve tez çalışmasından oluşur. Yüksek lisans öğrenim programı zorunlu ve seçmeli derslerden oluşur. Her yarıyılda okutulacak derslerin adları ve sorumluları, anabilim dalı kurul kararı ile birlikte anabilim dalı başkanlığınca enstitüye bildirilir. Okutulacak dersler ve sorumluları Enstitü Kurulunda görüşüldükten sonra Senatonun onayına sunulur ve Senatoca karara bağlanır. Bir lisansüstü dersin yarıyıl kredi değeri, bir yarıyıl devam eden dersin haftalık teorik ders saatinin tamamı ile haftalık uygulama veya laboratuar saati sayısının yarısının toplamı kadardır. Lisansüstü dersler; ilgili anabilim dalı başkanlığının önerisi, Enstitü Yönetim Kurulunun onayı ile diğer yükseköğretim kurumlarında verilmekte olan dersler arasından da seçilebilir. Ancak, diğer yükseköğretim kurumlarında alınan ders kredilerinden, zorunlu toplam kredinin 1/3’ü kadar kısmı dikkate alınır. Yüksek lisans öğrencileri, kredileri toplamı altıdan fazla olmaması ve lisans öğrenimi sırasında alınmamış olması koşuluyla, lisans dersleri arasından en fazla iki ders seçebilir. Öğrenciler öğrenimleri süresince danışmanları tarafından açılacak olan uzmanlık alan dersini alır. Uzmanlık alan dersi yarıyıl ve yaz tatillerinde de devam eder. Bu dersten üst üste iki kez veya aralıklı olarak üç kez başarısız olan öğrencinin Enstitü ile ilişiği kesilir. Seminer dersi ve uzmanlık alan dersi kredisiz olup, başarılı veya başarısız olarak değerlendirilir. Öğrenci bir yarıyılda aldığı derslerin sınavına ilan edilen gün ve saatte girmek zorundadır. Belirtilen gün ve saatte sınava katılmayan öğrenci katılmadığı derslerden başarısız sayılır. Bir yarıyıl süren dersler için en az bir vize ve bir yarıyıl sonu, iki yarıyıl devam eden dersler için en az iki vize bir yıl sonu sınavı yapılır. Bir dersin eğitim-öğretimi ile ilgili olarak araştırma-inceleme ödevleri de ayrı bir ara sınav olarak değerlendirilir. Öğrencinin başarılı sayılabilmesi için; ara sınav not ortalamasının %30’u ile yarıyıl sonu sınav notunun %70’inin toplamının yüksek lisansta en az 65, doktorada en az 75 olması gerekir. Ancak, öğrenci yarıyıl sonu sınavından yüksek lisansta 100 tam not üzerinden en az 65, doktorada en az 75 almak zorundadır. Yarıyıl sonu sınavında başarısız olan öğrenciye bütünleme hakkı verilir. Öğrenci başarısız olduğu dersleri, takip eden eğitim-öğretim yılında en çok iki yarıyıllık ek sürede başarmak zorundadır. Bir ders en fazla bir kere tekrarlanabilir. Tekrarlanan derslerden başarısız olan öğrencinin Enstitü ile ilişiği kesilir. Zorunlu hallerde anabilim dalı başkanı ve danışmanın ortak teklifi ve Enstitü Yönetim Kurulunun onayı ile öğrenci, aynı program içinde başarısız olduğu bir tek dersin yerine, aynı krediye sahip bir başka ders alabilir. Yeni dersin bir defada başarılması zorunludur. Yüksek lisans programındaki bir öğrenci, elde ettiği sonuçları Enstitü tarafından belirlenen yazım kurallarına uygun biçimde yazmak ve tezini jüri önünde sözlü olarak savunmak zorundadır. | |

| Access Requirements | Candidates who want to apply for the announced programs apply to the Directorate of the Graduate School with a petition stating the department they wish to enroll as a postgraduate student, along with other documents to be determined by the institute within the specified application period. The procedures of the applicants are regulated and carried out by the Institute Directorate. (2) In order to apply for the graduate programs, the candidates a) Must have a bachelor's degree and must have a score equal to or greater than 55.00 in ALES. b) In order for the candidate to apply for the program, the sum of the 60% of the ALES score (equal weight) and 40% of the graduation GPA score, normalized to 100 points, must not be less than 55.00 c) The candidates with a graduate entrance score of 55.00 or more are ranked according to the number of quotas announced by the department, and accepted into the programs accordingly. For each department, reserve candidates are assigned according to their rankings. (3) In order to apply for Ph.D. programs, the candidates a) In order to apply for doctorate programs outside the medical sciences, candidates should have a bachelor's or master's degree, or should have a diploma of ten-semester Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Faculties excluding preparatory classes, bachelor's degree or master's degree from Faculty of Pharmacy or Faculty Arts and Science (science), or should have a specialty attained in the laboratory branch in accordance with the rudiments set by Ministry of Health and should take 55 points or more in the science section of ALES, and those who applied with bachelor's degree should take at least 85 science points in the ALES. b) In order to be able to apply to doctoral programs in medical sciences, graduates of Faculty of Medicine must have a bachelor's degree and have a minimum score of 50 points from the basic medical score or at least 55 points from the numerical part of ALES. Those who are not graduated from the Faculty of Medicine must have a master's degree, Dentistry and Veterinary Faculty graduates must have a bachelor's degree and should have at least 55 numerical scores from ALES and those who apply with a bachelor's degree must have a score of at least 85. The basic medical score is obtained by the sum of the standard score obtained from Part I of the Basic Medical Sciences Test of the Examination for Specialty in Medicine multiplied by 0.7 and the standard score obtained from Part II of the basic medical science test multiplied by 0.3. c) In addition, candidates should take at least 55.00 points from the University Language Exam or an equivalent score from an exam deemed equivalent by the inter-university council. And, foreign students should take at least 55 points from the University Language Exam in one of the English, French and German languages, apart from their native language, or a score equivalent to this score must be obtained from an examination accepted by the Inter-University Council. d) In order to be accepted to the selected program, the sum of 40% of the graduation grade average of graduates of Medical, Dentistry and Veterinary Faculty and 60% of ALES numerical score is accepted as the total success score. Passing grades must be at least 65 points. Those who apply with a BS degree must have a score of at least 90 points, which is the sum of 60% of the minimum 85 points required from ALES and 40% of the graduate GPA, normalized to maximum of 100 points. And, for those who have graduate degrees from other faculties or higher schools the success grade is calculated by the sum of 30% of the graduation GPA and 10% of the graduation grade average and 60% of the ALES exam grade. Passing grades must be at least 65. Based on these results, the candidates are ranked according to the number of quotas announced by their departments and accepted into the programs. For each department, reserve candidates are assigned according to their rankings. (4) The results are announced within three days at the latest by the Institute Directorate. Enrollment is done by the Institute Directorate. In place of the nominal candidates who do not register within the specified time period are given, the right to register is granted to the reserve candidates according to their rankings. If the scores are equal, the candidate with the highest ALES score is selected. | |
| Conditions for Success | The program consists of at least seven courses, a seminar course and a thesis study, provided that it is not less than a total of 21 credits. The graduate program consists of compulsory and elective courses. Instructors and names of the courses to be opened each semester are announced to the institute by the department directorate with the decision of the board. Lectures and instructors will be presented to the Senate for approval after consultation with the Institute Board, and the final decision is made by the Senate. A semester credit value for a graduate course is the sum of the complete weekly hours of a theoretical course which lasts a semester and half of the hours for weekly practice or laboratory hours. The graduate courses may be selected from the courses offered at other higher education institutions by the recommendation of the relevant department of education and approval of the Graduate School Administrative Board. However, from the course credits taken at other higher education institutions, 1/3 of the total required credits are taken into account. Graduate students may choose not more than two undergraduate courses, provided that the sum of the credits is not more than six and not taken during the undergraduate education. Students receive a specialization course that will be opened by their supervisor during their education. Specialization field course continues during semester and summer holidays. Students who have failed consecutive two times or intermittently three times in this course are dismissed from the Institute. Seminar courses and specialization courses are non-credit and evaluated as pass/fail. Students have to take the exams of the courses on the day and the time announced. Students who do not attend the exams on the specified day and time will be considered failed in the respective courses. At least one midterm exam and one final exam are required for one semester-long courses and at least two midterm exams and one final exam are required for two semester courses. Research and examination assignments of a course are also considered as a separate midterm exam. In order for the student to be successful, the sum of 30% of the midterm examination grade and 70% of final exam grade must be at least 65 in graduate school and 75 in Ph.D. However, student must take at least 65 out of 100 in the final exam in the graduate and 75 in the doctorate.Students who fail the final exam are granted a makeup exam. Students have to pass the courses they failed in the following academic year, in the two semesters at most. A course can be repeated at most once. Students who fail in the repeated courses are dismissed from the Institute. In cases of necessity, with the joint proposal of the head of the department and the supervisor and approval of the Graduate School Administrative Board, the student may take another course with the same credits instead of a single course that he/she failed in the same program. It is imperative that the new course be passed in one time. A student in graduate program must write his/her thesis in accordance with the writing rules set by the Institute and defend his thesis orally in front of the jury. | |

Student take at least one midterm exam and one final exam for one semester-long courses and one and at least two midterm exams and one final exam for two semester-long courses, and take makeup exam when necessary. Passing Grade is 65%. However, students must take at least 65 out of 100 full marks in the final exam. The student prepares and presents a seminar in the "Seminar" course. Student defend his/her thesis in front of jury members.
Candidates who want to apply for the announced programs apply to the Directorate of the Graduate School with a petition stating the department they wish to enroll as a postgraduate student, along with other documents to be determined by the institute within the specified application period. The procedures of the applicants are regulated and carried out by the Institute Directorate.
(2) In order to apply for the graduate programs, the candidates
a) Must have a bachelor's degree and must have a score equal to or greater than 55.00 in ALES. b) In order for the candidate to apply for the program, the sum of the 60% of the ALES score (equal weight) and 40% of the graduation GPA score, normalized to 100 points, must not be less than 55.00
c) The candidates with a graduate entrance score of 55.00 or more are ranked according to the number of quotas announced by the department, and accepted into the programs accordingly. For each department, reserve candidates are assigned according to their rankings.
(3) In order to apply for Ph.D. programs, the candidates
a) In order to apply for doctorate programs outside the medical sciences, candidates should have a bachelor's or master's degree, or should have a diploma of ten-semester Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Faculties excluding preparatory classes, bachelor's degree or master's degree from Faculty of Pharmacy or Faculty Arts and Science (science), or should have a specialty attained in the laboratory branch in accordance with the rudiments set by Ministry of Health and should take 55 points or more in the science section of ALES, and those who applied with bachelor's degree should take at least 85 science points in the ALES.
b) In order to be able to apply to doctoral programs in medical sciences, graduates of Faculty of Medicine must have a bachelor's degree and have a minimum score of 50 points from the basic medical score or at least 55 points from the numerical part of ALES. Those who are not graduated from the Faculty of Medicine must have a master's degree, Dentistry and Veterinary Faculty graduates must have a bachelor's degree and should have at least 55 numerical scores from ALES and those who apply with a bachelor's degree must have a score of at least 85. The basic medical score is obtained by the sum of the standard score obtained from Part I of the Basic Medical Sciences Test of the Examination for Specialty in Medicine multiplied by 0.7 and the standard score obtained from Part II of the basic medical science test multiplied by 0.3.
c) In addition, candidates should take at least 55.00 points from the University Language Exam or an equivalent score from an exam deemed equivalent by the inter-university council. And, foreign students should take at least 55 points from the University Language Exam in one of the English, French and German languages, apart from their native language, or a score equivalent to this score must be obtained from an examination accepted by the Inter-University Council.
d) In order to be accepted to the selected program, the sum of 40% of the graduation grade average of graduates of Medical, Dentistry and Veterinary Faculty and 60% of ALES numerical score is accepted as the total success score. Passing grades must be at least 65 points. Those who apply with a BS degree must have a score of at least 90 points, which is the sum of 60% of the minimum 85 points required from ALES and 40% of the graduate GPA, normalized to maximum of 100 points. And, for those who have graduate degrees from other faculties or higher schools the success grade is calculated by the sum of 30% of the graduation GPA and 10% of the graduation grade average and 60% of the ALES exam grade. Passing grades must be at least 65. Based on these results, the candidates are ranked according to the number of quotas announced by their departments and accepted into the programs. For each department, reserve candidates are assigned according to their rankings.
(4) The results are announced within three days at the latest by the Institute Directorate. Enrollment is done by the Institute Directorate. In place of the nominal candidates who do not register within the specified time period are given, the right to register is granted to the reserve candidates according to their rankings. If the scores are equal, the candidate with the highest ALES score is selected.
