• A Graduate of the department of Nursing; knows the structure and functions of the cell, tissue, organ and systems composing human body, and uses this basic knowledge regarding the relation between these systems in professional practices.
• Has knowledge about basic concepts and theories regarding nursing, the historical development and the practices of that present theories and professional ethical principles.
• Has knowledge about up-to-date events and developments related to his profession by means of using the theories that he has learnt about nursing recently.
• Gains the skills to use theoretical and applied knowledge that he/she learnt related to nursing in the business fields of his profession.
• Has problem solving skills and the ability to interpret and evaluate the data that he gained by using the theoretical and pratical knowledge about nursing.
• Self-containedly conducts basic practices about nursing like (emergency care, patient care, using nursing process, counselling,documenting, effective communication etc.)
• Inclined to teamwork, can take responsibility as a member of the team, and able to coordinate at teamwork.
• Critically assesses the theoretical and practical knowledge that he/she gained about nursing.
• Knows the methods and the ways for accessing the knowledge in order to meet the requirements and fulfills the needs that appeared critically.
• Shares with his colleagues the knowledge, skills, and the results of his/her practices that he/she gained related to his/her profession.
• Knows and uses the information and communication technologies that nursing requires.
• He/she is able cooperate with the local, national and international institutions and organizations in order to meet requirements and the problems that appeared regarding the nursing issues for the issues.
• Has an active role in the planning and management of the health care services.
• At the projects and scientific researches, he/she has knowledge on planning, the data collection and statistical analysis, report writing, the process of announcing the results of the study and knows the ethical principles that are supposed to be obeyed.
• Interiorizes the upgrading the health level of the individual, family and the society as a primary principle at all the professional practices.
• Works in order to keep their health and provide protection of the patients, the relatives of patients, employees and all the other individuals.
• Gives be able health education in order to improve and to protect the health of individual, family and the society.
• Uses the instructional processes and evaluation methods in health education.
• Knows a foreign language at a level that he/she can express himself and he can read and understand the resources related to nursing.
• Serves nursing services in the areas of preventive, curative and rehabilitation of the health care services.

In this program, passing grade is DD (50-54). %40 of mid-term exam and %60 of final exam constitute passing grade. In the practical course, %20 of mid-term exam, %20 of clinical practice, %60 of final exam constitute passing grade.In order to be awarded a bachelors degree; The student is required to have completed all courses specified in the associate degree / undergraduate program with a minimum grade of (DD) and have a GPA of 2.00 or higher and must have successfully completed the internship if there is any.

The students who wish to register for the department must complete the processes which were determinated by OSYM and achive the exams within the framework of the universitys academic and legal regulations.

Students who gradute from nursing department work in health servives areas of public and private sevtor; work in the public institutions and organizations providing health services in the first, second and third level as a nurse; and work in universities as academician.

Qualification is continuous.
