- Hayvanların sağlığını korumak, bilimsel ve ekonomik bir hayvancılık yapılabilmesi için gerekli olan doğru hayvan beslemenin temelinde yer alan yemler ve temel besleme ilkeleri konularında bilgi sahibidir.
- Hayvanlarda beslenme gereksinimlerini karşılayacak ve verim düzeyi – sağlık - ürün kalitesini gözetecek şekilde ekonomik rasyonlar hazırlayabilir.
- Yetiştiricileri pratik / doğru yemleme teknikleri konusunda bilgilendirebilir.
- Hayvan Besleme alanında bilimsel ve teknolojik gelişmeler ve mesleki uygulamalardaki değişimlere daha kolay adapte olur ve bu konudaki sorunlara doğru yaklaşımlar üretir.
- Hayvan türlerinin beslenme gereksinimlerini karşılayacak ve ekonomik rasyon hazırlayabilmede kullanılacak yem maddelerinin özelliklerini bilir.
- Türkiye’de yaygın olarak kullanılan yem maddelerinin hayvan besleme açısından özelliklerini bilir ve bu konuda yetiştiricilere bilgi verebilir.
- Yemlerde kalitenin belirlenmesinde kullanılan organoleptik, fiziksel muayene ve kimyasal analiz yöntemlerini bilir.
- Yemler/karma yemlerin işlenmesi ve yemleri işlemenin hayvanların verim düzeyleri üzerine etkileri konusunda bilgi sahibidir.
- Yem hijyeni kavramını tanımlar, hijyen bakımından uygun olmayan yemlerin kullanım olanakları konusunda bilgi sahibidir.
- Yem katkı maddeleri ile ilgili bilgileri sahada iyi bir şekilde uygulayabilir.
- Beslenme ile ilişkili olarak şekillenen verim bozukluğunun etkenleri ve sonuçlarını anlar.
- Hayvanlarda görülen beslenme hastalıklarını ve bu hastalıkları önlemede rasyon hazırlama veya yemleme açısından uygulanabilecek çözüm önerilerini bilir.

- To be able to comprehend information about basic animal nutrition and feeds for protecting animal health, scientific and technological animal production.
- To be able to formulate economical and full-satisfactory rations with considering product quality and health and inform animal producers about practical/appropriate feeding methods.
- To be able to apply recent scientific and technological developments in animal nutrition easier and produce proper strategies against to problems on this field.
- To be able to analyse the properties of feeds used in proper and economical rations formulated due to needs of animal species.
- To be able to inform animal producers about the common feedstuffs used in animal nutrition to be able to interpret physical, diagnostic and chemical analysis methods used in determinin feed quality.
- To be able to comprehend processing and the effects of processing on animal yield.
- To be able to identify the term “feed hygiene” and have information about the usage availability of contaminated feedstuffs.
- To be able to apply the informations related to feed additives in a proper way. ,
- To be able to formulate the results and factors decreasing production.
