- Yüksek lisans yeterliliklerine dayalı olarak, doğum ve kadın hastalıkları hemşireliği alanıyla ilgili güncel ve ileri düzeydeki bilgileri özgün düşünce ve/veya araştırma ile doktora düzeyinde geliştirir ve özgün tanımlara ulaşır.
- Doğum ve kadın hastalıkları alanıyla ilgili araştırma yöntemlerinde üst düzeyde beceri kazanır.
- Hemşirelik bilimine yenilik getiren, yeni bakım yöntemleri geliştirebilir ya da bilinen bir yöntemi farklı bir alana uygulayabilir.
- Doğum ve kadın hastalıkları hemşireliğinde disiplinlerarası etkileşimi kurar.
- Özgün bir konuya yönelik araştırma yapar, ve sonucunu rapor olarak yayınlar.
- Hemşirelik bilimine yenilik getiren, özgün bir çalışmayı yürütür.
- Doktora alanında özgün ve disiplinlerarası sorunların çözümlenmesini gerektiren ortamlarda liderlik yapabilir.
- Doğum ve kadın hastalıkları hemşireliği ile ilgili en az bir bilimsel makaleyi ulusal ve/veya uluslararası hakemli dergilerde yayınlayarak alanındaki bilginin sınırlarını genişletebilir.
- Yaratıcı ve eleştirel düşünme, sorun çözme ve karar verme gibi üst düzey zihinsel süreçleri kullanarak alanı ile ilgili yeni fikir ve yöntemler geliştirebilir.

| Conditions for Success | In order to graduate from the program, it is necessary for the student to complete compulsory and elective courses in order to complete the 120 ECTS Credits and to complete the doctoral thesis study with a load of 120 ECTS credits.When determining the success status of students in the courses in the program, Biruni University Post-graduate Education-Examination and Examination Regulations are taken as basis.Students must complete the 120 AKTS credits compulsory and selective courses and 120 AKTS credits for thesis work in order to graduate. In order to gain the degree, the student is required to have minimum120 ECTS credits lectures (from the graduate course programme) and successfully completed them. Then, the student should prepare a thesis after caring out a research on a topic supervised by a senior lecturer. On a successful submission of thesis, student is required to give a successful oral examination on his/her work. | |

- Based on the qualifications gained in master degree, to develop their current and advanced level knowledge about obstetric and gynecologic nursing to the doctoral level in order to reach original definitions through the development of original idea and / or research.
- To get advanced skills about research methods in studies on obstetric and gynecologic nursing.
- To develop new innovative methods for nursing care or to apply a known method to a different area.
- To establish interaction between disciplines related to obstetric and gynecologic nursing.
