• Differentiate the normal and pathologic conditions in practice of dentistry by using the capability of knowledge and comprehension in scope of basic biologic, medical, technical and clinical sciences.

• Take total anamnesis including medical, psychological and social information by considering the patients social and cultural intelligence, make physical inspection and interpret the findings. In case of necessity, make progressive investigation in order to reach the exact diagnosis.
• Define, record and implement the diagnosis and treatment planning that the patient needs.
• Be aware of their limitations and know when to refer a patient for specialists’ dental or medical care.
• Educate the patients of all ages by using the contemporary preventive methods, risk evaluation and treatment procedures, in order to maintain the systemic and oral health and increase the life quality of a person, implement the accurate, effective and reliable treatment techniques to maintain the basic oral health.
• Use the appropriate techniques for the treatment of oro-facial pain.
• Treat the periodontal disorders, caries and other types of hard tissue lost of tooth structure, pulpal and peri-radicular complaints/lesions.
• Treat/replace defected and/or missing teeth in an acceptable shape, function and aesthetics.
• Plan and implement the basic prosthodontic procedures such as preparation of teeth and impression taking.
• Have adopted the bio-mechanical principles of fixed and removable dentures and may implement.
• Perform small surgical invasions on hard and soft tissues as needed, give the appropriate medicine and write a prescription.
• Recognize the common oral mucosa lesions, congenital or acquired dento-alveolar, developmental and functional anomalies in both primary and permanent dentition, and make the appropriate guidance.
• Manage the medical or dental emergency situations encountered in clinical dental practice.
• Apply evidence-based treatment where it is available.
• Have made the preventive methods his/her routine in the clinical implementation to provoke and improve the oral and teeth health of the community.
• Handle the complications and make infiltration and regional local anesthesia in the mouth in case of surgical and other treatment procedures when needed.Have a general knowledge about general anesthesia.
• Extract the uncomplicated roots broken previously or during extraction and uncomplicated normal/surgical teeth.
• Perform uncomplicated extraction of erupted teeth.

The student who wants to register to the department must complete the exams determined by ÖSYM within the framework of the academic and legal regulations of the university. A student who has started to learn in domestic or foreign programs may apply for a horizontal transfer. The acceptance of the students is examined and considered as special before the beginning of the semester, taking into account the conditions of each student and the degree in which they apply. If the student has a Turkish proficiency, he / she can register to any Turkish course mentioned in the Course Plan.

Physicians can work in public and private sectors. Health ministry hospitals, private health centers, and university hospitals as well as their own practice to open their own offices. Graduates who wish to pursue an academic career may apply to the relevant doctorate / specialist programs of the Faculties of Medicine.
