Mazeret sınavı ve tek ders sınavı Fakülte, yüksekokul ve meslek yüksekokullarında, sadece ara sınavlara giremeyen öğrencilere, mazeretini gösterir belgeyi aldığı tarihten itibaren on beş iş günü içerisinde bir dilekçe ile birlikte öğrenci işlerine teslim etmesi halinde ilgili yönetim kurulu kararıyla mazeret sınavı yapılır. Başarı değerlendirmesi ve notlar Yarıyıl içi değerlendirmelerin başarı notuna katkısı en az %40, en çok %60 olabilir. - Hekim olmanın bilinci ile diş hekimliği tedavileri dışında, kendisi dahil, hizmet sunduğu toplumun ve bireylerin genel sağlığını ön planda tutan ve sağlıklılık durumlarını geliştirecek girişim ve uygulamaları yerine getirebilmek, bu konularda hastayı bilinçlendirme ve yönlendirebilmek.
- Diş hekimliği mesleği ile ilgili eleştirel düşünme, yaratıcılık becerisine sahip olabilmek.
- Diş hekimliğinin çeşitli dallarında disiplin içi ve disiplinler arası takım çalışmaları yapabilmek.
- Etik ve hijyenik kurallara uygun, hasta haklarına saygılı, insani değerleri ön planda tutan klinik ve laboratuvar çalışmaları yapabilmek.
- Diş Hekimliği mesleğinin gerektirdiği ağız-diş sağlığını sağlamaya yönelik her türlü aletleri kullanabilmek ve diş hekimliği kliniklerinde kullanılan malzemeler hakkında yeterli bilgi sahibi olabilmak.
- Özel bakım gerektiren veya sistemik hastalıklı bireylere yönelik diş hekimliği uygulamaları yapabilmek veya gereken durumlarda tam teşkilatlı merkezlere yönlendirebilmek.
- Koruyucu Diş hekimliği uygulamalarını klinikte yapabilmek, bunun yanı sıra yerel veya ulusal düzeyde planlanacak topluma yönelik ağız-diş sağlığı program ve projelerine katılarak desteklemek, gerektiğinde bu konularda yeterli donanımları edinerek denetlemek veya yönetebilmek.
- Mesleki kural ve kanunları takip edebilmek, profesyonel davranış bilincine sahip olmak, ağız-diş sağlığı ile ilgili ulusal ve uluslar arası politika ve uygulamaları irdeleyip, olası sonuçlarını değerlendirebilmek.
- Diş Hekimi olarak mesleğinin gerektirdiği, klinik ve sosyal bilimlere ait temel bilgileri edinmiş olmak ve bunları yaşamı boyunca kullanabilmek.
- Hayat boyu öğrenmenin önemini benimseyerek kendini sürekli geliştirebilmek, diş hekimliği mesleği ile ilgili güncel bilimsel çalışma ve gelişmeleri izlemek, değerlendirebilmek ve öğrendiklerini uygulamalarında kullanabilmektedir.

These exams can be applied in written, oral, written-oral and/or practical way/s. At least one mid-term and one final exam are held for each course. Make-up exams are one-off examinations applied on a date at the end of the semester / year determined by the board of directors of the related unit for students who cannot succeed in the final exam. The grades taken in these exams are evaluated as grades taken in the final exam. Make-up exam and single course exam Make-up exams are applied within fifteen working days with the related board decision only for the students who failed to take the exam providing they state their excuses by submitting a petition to their Students’ Affairs Offices at the faculties, colleges and vocational colleges. Assessment Criteria and Grades The contribution of the mid-term evaluations to the grade can be at least 40% and 60%. - To b able to to be able to perform the ventures and practices that retain the general health of the public and individuals foreground aside from dental treatments In the awareness of being a dentist.
- To be able to develop the ability of creativeness and to be able to think in a critical way about Dentistry.
- To be able to perform team work, in disciplinary and interdisciplinary, among the various branches of dentistry.
- To be able to perform clinical and laboratory studies that are appropriate to ethic and hygienic rules, respectful to patient rights and that holds the humanitary rights foreground.
- To be able to use every necessary dentistry tool for oral health and treatment and to have adequate knowledge about all the materials that are being used at clinics. To be able to perform dental work for the patients who are in need of special attention and who have systemic diseases and/or to direct them to fully equipped health centers for treatment.
- To be able to perform Protective Dentistry applications at the clinic and also to endorse the national and international dental health program and projects by attending them; also to be able to lead and inspect these projects by developing the necessary knowledge.
- To be able to follow the vocational rules and laws; to be conscious of a professional manner; to be able to study the national – international politics and practices concerning dentistry and to evaluate the outcomes.
- To be able to be aware of the principal know-how of clinical and social sciences that is required as a Dentist.
