• Each student must attend the courses, applied studies, laboratories, projects, seminars, workshops, graduation projects and other studies of the semester she/he is enrolled for.
• For each course, one midterm and final exams are conducted by the instructors teaching the courses.
• If a student does not take midterm exam, she/he takes FF.
• If a student does not fulfill the attendance obligation or she/he fails the application, she/he takes FE.
• The contribution of midterm on grade is 40 %, final exams is 60 %. While students that take AA, BA, BB, CB and CC are successful, those took K, ED, EE, FE and FF are unsuccessful.
• Locations and dates of midterm and final exams will be announced fifteen days before by relevant unit.
• Students who have not attended at least 70 % of theoretical courses and 80 % of applied studies are not allowed to take the final exam of those courses.
• A make-up exam is given to students with certified excuses accepted by the relevant executive board within make-up exams week after the final examinations are over.In order to obtain the B.S degree, student have to succeed in all their compulsory and elective course shown in the program determined by the committee.

According to the SSPC (Student Selection and Placement Center) exam, students are accepted with TS-1 score type. The student who want to register is obliged to complete exam process with successfully determined by SSPC. In addition, academic and legal regulations of the university are also taken into consideration. A student who has started to study at the national or international equivalent can apply for transfer our department. The acceptance of students are taken before the beginning of the semester and each student evaluate taking into account the condition and degree. Our graduate students will have different career opportunities with Bachelor Degree of Geography diploma. With this education programme, students will gain considerable qualifications such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) user at high level, analyze ability between natural and cultural phenomena, can identify problems and produce solution, make risk analysis of environment. Our department is primarily aimed at educating researchers who can work in universities. Our graduates can also work as a teacher. To be a teacher, they need to take pedagogical formation. The graduates also work in the GIS sector. They could also work in various government agencies [especially in municipalities, research firms, national parks, meteorology, MTA (General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration), TUIK (TSI-Turkish Statistical Institute), DSI (General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works), DPT (State Planning Organization)] at and in private sector jobs thats about geography domain.
