The main purpose of our Computer Programming Program is to train qualified personnel who are prone to the theoretical and practical skills needed by the sector and who have acquired these skills to the maximum extent.

1- Has the basic theoretical and practical knowledge in mathematics, computing and computer sciences at the level required by the field.
2- With the knowledge learned in the field, analyzes the needs related to computer software and plans the software development processes.
3- Develops computer software with the knowledge learned in the field.
4- With the knowledge learned in the field, tests computer software and eliminates errors.
5- Has basic theoretical and practical knowledge about internet programming and web design.
6- Uses algorithmic thinking and planning approach in applications.
7- Knows the requirements of computer systems, performs maintenance and troubleshooting.
8- Performs database design and management, uses databases in software applications.
9- Develops interface designs used in software applications.
10- Works effectively individually or in teams by doing research and producing solutions when faced with unforeseen situations with the basic knowledge acquired in the field.
11- Follows current developments in information and communication technologies with the awareness of the necessity of career management and lifelong learning.
12- To be able to effectively present his/her thoughts at the level of knowledge and skills through written and oral communication and express them clearly.
13- Uses at least one foreign language at least at the European Language Portfolio A2 General Level, follows the information in the field of information and computer sciences and communicates with colleagues.
14- Carries professional and ethical responsibility awareness related to the field, cares about occupational health and safety by considering professional ethics in informatics applications.

Measurement and Evaluation

(1) For each course taken, students are given a letter success grade at the end of the semester/year.

(2) This grade is given by the instructor of the course.

(3) While evaluating the letter grade, a students success at classes, mid-terms/final examinations and attendance to classes are considered. The calculation of the letter grade is determined by the approval of the related academic unit and the Senate.

(4) The success grade of a student is calculated over 100 points. This grade is called raw success point.

(5) A student whose raw success point is under 25.00 is directly given an FF grade and the student fails the course. The success grade of a student whose raw success point is 25.00 and above is evaluated by using the methods determined by the board decisions of the Educational Commission of the University and the Senate; with the letter grades of which coefficients and explanations are mentioned below. After this evaluation, it is also possible that the raw success points 25.00 and above may become FF letter grades.

(6) Coefficients and letter success grades are evaluated as shown below:

b) The letter grades other than the ones in the clause a are: 1) D: Did not Attend the Course 2) G: Did not Attend the Exam 3) E: Incomplete (The E grades which are not corrected until after 3 weeks from the finalization of letter success grades are converted to FF) 4) VZ: Withdrawn

(7) A student whose letter success grade is (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB), (CC), (DC) or (DD) is considered as succeeded the course. However, the CumGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of the student must be at least 2,00 for graduation. 

In order to monitor the quality of higher education programs;

• YÖK is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and supervising education and training and other activities in higher education institutions.

• “University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports” of higher education institutions prepared within the framework of criteria determined by YÖK are published every year. The reports prepared according to these reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.

• “Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report” containing academic, administrative and financial data of foundation higher education institutions is published every year by YÖK. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK. The quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is provided according to the “Procedures and Principles for Ensuring Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs”:

1. Creation and Approval of Curriculum: The minimum standards and The criteria are determined by the Council of Higher Education.

1.1. The curriculum of undergraduate programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each program will provide to students are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by the Council of Higher Education on these issues.

1.2. The curriculum of the National Core Education Programs is implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of the Council of Higher Education after being approved by the relevant Deans' Council.

2. Measurement-Evaluation: How the measurement and evaluation of the learning outcomes that each undergraduate program will provide to students will be carried out is carried out according to the education and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by the Council of Higher Education on these issues.

3. Certification: Students enrolled in undergraduate programs receive a bachelor's degree if they successfully complete the course credits and other obligations determined by the higher education institutions.

4. Self-Assessment-External Evaluation: In the context of continuous monitoring, higher education institutions enter the “Internal Institutional Evaluation Reports” of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. YÖKAK shares the “Institutional Feedback Report” prepared for the external evaluation of higher education institutions with the public. In addition, accreditation decisions made by accreditation institutions authorized or recognized by YÖKAK also show that the quality assurance of the program qualifications is provided. YÖKAK conducts regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with its legislation.
