• The curriculum implemented at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences aims to enable students to comprehend the historical roots of Islam and understand contemporary religious and societal issues, while also fostering the ability to make projections for the future, all in light of the foundational sources of Islam. In this context, the program is structured to provide students with a solid grounding in the core principles of Islamic sciences. A comprehensive education is offered through both compulsory and elective courses, designed to equip students with a profound perspective in the field of Islamic studies.

• There are 18 academic staff members, an adequate number of offices, classrooms, a mosque, a conference hall, a canteen, a dining hall, and a library. Additionally, the Canvas system is actively used to facilitate information sharing between students and academics.

• Understands the life and mission of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the last link in the chain of Prophets, and interprets and analyzes the Quran, the final divine message, along with its most authentic interpretation, the Sunnah, and the foundational texts related to the sciences derived from this prophetic heritage. 
• Acquaints themselves with the structure of Islamic sciences such as theology (kalam), jurisprudence (fiqh), and mysticism (tasawwuf), which address the aspects of belief, worship, ethics, and law, and explains their interrelationships, using their concepts appropriately. 
• Comprehends and coherently explains the principles, subjects, methods, history, and problems of both rational and transmitted (naqli) sciences, which are the building blocks of Islamic civilization, within an integrated framework. 
• Critically evaluates the classical and contemporary religious movements that emerged in the Islamic world, considering their historical and social contexts. 
• Gains knowledge about the major world religions, their sectarian structures, demographic distributions, histories, basic doctrines, and practices, and is capable of making comparisons among them. 
• Understands and interprets the psycho-social dimensions of religious belief, emotion, thought, and behavior. 
• Follows the tradition of Islamic scholarship in solving contemporary religious issues, while considering the philosophical, artistic, historical, individual, and societal dimensions, and produces innovative solutions. 
• Mastery of Turkish, Arabic, and English at a level that allows understanding of classical and modern texts related to their field, and the ability to express themselves both verbally and in writing.

"(1) A letter grading system is used to indicate the degree of success of students in the course. The letters used for this purpose, their weight coefficients and meanings are shown below:

b) Apart from letter grades, the meanings of the temporary NP and permanent CW, E, LA, R, S, T, U, W marks in the transcript are also shown below:

1) CW: Indicates that the student has canceled his/her registration during the semester,

2) E: Indicates the courses that have been passed with the exemption exam. It is not included in the grade point average,

3) LA: Indicates that the student is considered to be on leave during the semester,

4) NP: Indicates that the student did not take the final exam. Those who are compensated within two weeks from the end of the final exam process are converted to a success grade, those who are not converted to FF, and a non-credit course to U,

5) R: Indicates repeated lessons,

6) Q: Indicates success in courses that are not included in the grade point average,

7) U: Indicates failure in courses that are not included in the grade point average,

8) W: Indicates that the student has withdrawn from the course. It doesn't count toward the GPA.".

Calculation of Grade Point Averages and Student Success Status

Ibn Haldun University Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations Article 29:

"(1) At the end of each semester, the success of the students is monitored with the YNO and GPA values.

(2) The success credit received by a student from a course is obtained by multiplying the ECTS credit value of that course by the final grade coefficient. In calculating the grade point averages, the method of dividing the sum of the success grades of the relevant courses multiplied by the course ECTS credits by the total ECTS credits of the relevant courses is used.

(3) In courses that are repeated due to failure or taken to increase the grade, the final grade is valid regardless of the previous grade. However, previous grades are also shown in the grade document".

To oversee the quality of higher education programs;

- YÖK is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and supervising education and training and other activities in higher education institutions.

- "University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports" of higher education institutions prepared within the framework of the criteria determined by YÖK are published every year. The reports prepared according to these reports, including quantitative and qualitative evaluations of higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.

- "Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report" containing academic, administrative and financial data of foundation higher education institutions is published annually by CoHE. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK. Quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is ensured according to the "Procedures and Principles for Ensuring Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs":

1. Creation and Approval of Curricula: YÖK determines the minimum standards and criteria required for the opening of undergraduate departments and programs in higher education institutions.

1.1. The curriculum of undergraduate programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each program will provide to the student are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

1.2. The curricula of the National Core Curricula are adopted by the relevant Council of Deans and implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of the Council of Higher Education.

2. Assessment and Evaluation: The measurement and evaluation of the learning outcomes of each undergraduate program is carried out according to the teaching and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

3. Certification: Students enrolled in undergraduate programs, if they successfully complete the course credits and other obligations determined by higher education institutions; receive a bachelor's diploma.

4. Self-Assessment-External Evaluation: Higher education institutions, in the context of continuous monitoring, enter the "Institutional Internal Evaluation Reports" of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. YÖKAK shares the "Institutional Feedback Report" prepared for the external evaluation of higher education institutions with the public. In addition, accreditation decisions issued by accreditation bodies authorized or recognized by YÖKAK also indicate that the quality assurance of the qualifications of the programs is ensured. YÖKAK conducts regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with the legislation.

To graduate from a secondary education institution or from a foreign secondary education institution recognized by the Ministry of National Education, and to meet the admission requirements for undergraduate programs at higher education institutions.

To be placed in the relevant undergraduate program of a higher education institution based on the results of the central exam conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), according to the procedures and principles determined by YÖK.

To have achieved a sufficient score in the central exam conducted by ÖSYM for programs admitting students based on special talent exams, and to have passed the special talent exam, as determined by YÖK's procedures and principles.

To be placed in the continuation of the area of study completed at the associate degree level in an undergraduate program, based on the results of the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) conducted by ÖSYM, as per the procedures and principles established by YÖK.

Graduates of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences have a wide range of career opportunities and are likely to find employment in various fields. They can serve in different roles within the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı), such as Qur'an course instructors, imams, muezzins, education officers, religious affairs specialists, preachers, and muftis. Additionally, they can work as religious culture and ethics teachers in primary and secondary schools, and as vocational teachers in imam hatip high schools.

For those who wish to pursue an academic career, opportunities for postgraduate studies (master’s and doctorate) are available. Graduates who successfully complete their bachelor’s degree can pursue further studies in relevant fields at graduate level, provided they achieve a sufficient score in the Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES) and possess the required level of foreign language proficiency. These individuals can also work as academics.
